Pet-friendly, backing onto forest trails, and near Albury/Wodonga with its shops, restaurants and cinemas, as well as historical Yackandandah and Beechworth, it's a must for those who love to walk, run, bike, ski or simply explore or relax - like us!

Visit Tumbarumba Rail Trail,Paddy's River Falls, Hume & Hovell Trackheads, Sculpture Trail,Southern Cloud Lookout, Mt Selwyn Snowfield & Upper Murray drives. Modern additions to the Cottage include central heating, wifi, fully equipped new kitchen, BBQ & fire pit. Sadly we can't accept children under 12 yrs of age or hunters.

Glenburnie Cottage – Winery Escape in Tumbarumba

It’s quiet, open and grounded. Light the fire, cook a proper meal, and settle in with a bottle of wine while the day winds out. In winter, the cold sets in and the fire does its job. In summer, it’s long evenings outside and clear skies overhead. You’re five minutes from town and close to the mountain bike trails, but once you’re here, it feels a long way from anywhere. This isn’t a polished wine country retreat. It’s a place to slow down, breathe it in, and spend time properly.

Jingellic Lodge.

Wake up to country magic in the heart of the Upper Murray. Jingellic Lodge is located in the picturesque village of Jingellic. Enjoy this central location being a 2 minute walk to the local general store and cafe. A 5 minute scenic stroll to the iconic Jingellic Hotel overlooking the Murray River. Walwa Golf Club is a 10 minute walk accessible via a walking/bike track which continues to the township of Walwa 8km away. Boat ramp within 2 minute drive and access to the Murray River.

High Country Cottage Escape

This recently renovated spacious cottage is in the centre of town and within walking distance to the Walwa Hotel and the general store. With views of the mountains, you can experience a delicious meal and a cold beverage at the Walwa pub just across the road. Or head on down to the beautiful Murray River, only 800 metres away, perfect for throwing a line in to try your luck at catching a cod. There are local wineries and stunning waterfalls just a short drive from Walwa.

An ideal base if your interest is the snow or brilliant in the warmer months if you like to swim or fish for the legendary murray cod. A birdwatchers paradise and surrounded by wildlife Australia is famous for.

Bathroom features vanity cabinet with a stone bench top. shower and a front loading washing machine. Comfortable lounge with leather couches & efficient wood fire. Beautiful garden of diverse trees leads to a large olive grove, and paddocks with sheep and cattle. Fresh baked bread, home made jam & marmalade,
