Luxury Dome with Hot Tub & Mountain View

Unwind in Dome Karearea on our peaceful lavender farm in Danseys Pass. Hidden away from the noise and pace of everyday life. Soak in your outdoor hot tub under starry skies, enjoy the river sauna, and wake to wide mountain and valley views. With a kitchenette, heat pump, and space for up to 4 guests, it’s ideal for couples, families, or friends wanting a cosy nature-filled escape. Book both domes for a group stay and enjoy a retreat where stillness, comfort, and the outdoors come together.

Shag Point Retreat

Our tranquil ocean side retreat, overlooking a tidal reef, is conveniently located a 15 minute drive to the famous Moeraki boulders, a 40 minute drive to the historic town of Oamaru and just 10 minutes to Palmerston for shopping . Shag Point Retreat offers private gardens, a unique base for exploring and also a quiet respite “off the beaten track”. Close by a wide sweeping sandy bay. Or head to the Conservation reserve, a 10 minute walk - coastal views, seals and bird life abounds.

Highlands on Homestead a stone’s throw from town.

Spacious, comfortable and modern 1 bedroom unit with ensuite. A 2nd DETACHED room as an additional bedroom is available (see photo, fees apply) The cottage is equipped with microwave, stove top, toaster, kettle and basic utensils to prepare a simple meal. Private, delightful garden & decks facing the sun. Outdoor seating provided. Your well behaved, house trained dog is welcome to stay. Please let me know if your travelling with your furry friend and/or you require the 2nd bedroom.

The Moorings

The Moorings is a special place to stay in Oamaru. You will never tire of the view over the harbour. The home itself is immaculate and stylishly renovated. The beds and linen are excellent quality. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. The walk down the path to the house is well worth it. The home is close to the Penguin Colony, the old part of town and Scott's Brewery. Unfortunately, the house is not child-friendly. We are unable to take bookings which include young children.

The SunSet Cottage 5min from Oamaru, and Kakanui.

This 2 bedroom spacious cottage with all the comforts of home. Fantastic views of mountains fields with this year being along side hectares of sunflowers, flowering mid January 2026 . Private open space all only a 5min drive from the center of Oamaru. Each bedroom with comfortable Queen beds, amazing views A open plan living dining area , fully equipped kitchen , spacious bathroom. Laundry facility with front loader machine . All your basic supplies are there ready and waiting .

We would be delighted for you to book our unique space and experience a getaway of pure indulgence in our stunning Chapel renovation in the heart of Oamaru. Expect to be amazed as you open the door into the main Chapel building and encounter the seven metre high ornate ceiling, beautiful stained glass windows and original alter. The 125m2 space is full of all the luxuries of a new modern day appartment and is exclusively yours to enjoy during your stay.

Cape Wanbrow Cottage

This is an entire apartment with views to the Ocean. It is cosy and quiet and only 5 minutes from Oamaru but set in a beautiful rural environment. A new kitchen, a cosy loungeroom and private courtyard with barbeque and separate entrance. Tea, coffee, milk and basic supplies in the pantry, homemade bread and a sample of our own honey . Breakfast cereals provided . You will love it. A pleasant garden and views top it all off....while being handy to town.

Shepherd’s Rest - outdoor bath, alpaca & sheep

The Shepherd's Rest is a Shepherds Hut and glamping experience. The hut is situated on a 300 acre bull beef farm and approx a 10 minute drive to central Oamaru. Unwind in the outdoor bathtub (gas heated). The 3 alpaca & pet sheep are your friendly neighbours. 4pm Farm Tour for additional fee. The country location is the perfect place to relax, star gaze, enjoy the scenery, birdsong & farm sounds. It’s a great base to explore Oamaru & the Waitaki area.

Our cottage is the closest Airbnb to the blue penguin colony! You will love the sea views & the 2 minute walk to the Victorian Precinct, Harbour, playground, shops & cafes. We have 2 spacious bedrooms with comfortable king beds & fresh white linen. There is new fully equipped kitchen, free high speed WIFI & free parking outside the house. Our house is a gorgeous cottage with fresh, modern decor & everything you need for your stay in Oamaru.

Buckley’s Retreat

We offer this unique tiny home with fantastic Ocean views. You can wake to the sunrise and watch the sunset at night all from your bed. We offer continental breakfast. Which includes eggs if the hens are laying. Outdoor spa, Complementary snacks and beverages. You may also bring your dog. 5mins drive to the centre of town. But have restaurants and grocery shops near by. Off street parking also. Just on the town boundary with a rural feel.

Seascape

Nestled amongst the native trees, up on sunny South hill , hides a mid-century gem. Elevated over the garden with a deck that completes the house giving prime views of the ocean and sunrise. 2 minutes down the hill to the historic precinct filled with many delights including Blue Penguins ,bakery, coffee, art galleries and breweries.The East Coast golden sand beaches are a short ten minute drive away.
