‘the float shed’ is a unique, suitable for adults only, absolute waterfront, floating, fully self contained modern studio apartment, relax and watch the wildlife swim past. We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Laneway hideaway

Our architect designed, garden roof cabin was built in 2020 to take in views across they valley to knocklofty. North facing the sun warms this house with the passive solar design maintaining a steady temperature. To complement this there is a wood fire for grey days and a sliding door and bifold windows for hot ones. Ply lining and exposed rafters give the house a cabin feel creating a retreat feeling. Different outdoor spaces provide great options to soak in the sun and neighbourhood.

Inner city oasis

The modern studio is nestled in a luxurious garden providing a sense of serenity at the rear of our 130-year-old heritage house. Warm up next to the wood-fire after a short stroll to the local restaurants, bars and cafes located in North Hobart. Situated within 1.9km of the CBD and 2.8km to Salamanca waterfront, there is a bus stop at the end of the street. A microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and fridge are provided for your convenience, as well as a BBQ on your private deck.

Moonah Pad

This 2 bedroom/2 story townhouse is equipped with a new kitchen and bathroom. It is only a 10-minute drive from the Hobart CBD and the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA). It is a short walk (5 minutes) from numerous cafes and restaurants and a Woolworths supermarket. Public transport is conveniently situated on the main road (also a 5-minute walk away). The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, gas cooktop, and microwave. The bathroom is new and has a heated tiled floor.

White Cottage - North Hobart. Luxe 3-Bed House

White Cottage is a stunning character-filled, fully renovated inner-city cottage. The cottage features 3 large bedrooms (queen beds), wood heater, north facing courtyard, renovated kitchen, full bathroom with bath. Located one block from the North Hobart restaurant/cafe strip, 1.5km from the city/MONA ferry terminal/Salamanca and a 14 minute drive to MONA. Come Stay with Us We have a lovely little self contained cottage, nice & cosy with 1 double bed verandah to sit and enjoy the garden Located in Moonah, walking distance to local cafes and restaurants, bottle shops, supermarkets etc. A bike ride along the bike track to the city or out to Mona. A short taxi or bus ride to the city. We do have wifi. off street parking is available within the premises

Connie the Caravan: a private getaway

Connie is a vintage caravan positioned perfectly among the poplar trees to give guests a little hideaway to relax and enjoy themselves. Connie can sleep up to two adults with a proper innerspring mattress. A bathroom with shower and toilets is very close by, as is a kitchen guests can use if required. The kitchen has a fridge, hot plates, microwave and dishwasher.
