In the residential area where our house is located it is a gated community and we have 24 hours security & you can feel safe walking the streets any time. We are located in San Pedro which is very close to 3 universities (walking distance) and about 4 miles from the San Jose city center. There is bus service very close to the house. A bus from the house to the city center of San Jose is about $0.50 USD. Taxi service in Costa Rica is also very reasonable.
