Welcome to Tellico Plains, a vintage mountain town in East Tennessee at the gateway to the Cherohala Skyway and Cherokee National Forest. Located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, our "Little Town with a Big Backyard" is blessed with over 200 miles of hiking trails, world-class trout fishing, Bald River Falls, and more. Our guest house is located just four miles from historic downtown, with its many unique shops and restaurants. Our property is strictly no smoking. No pets allowed.

Keep an eye out for those pesky gnomes. Relax in the rocking chairs on the front porch or grilling out on the back. Step right outside for world-famous trout fishing. This well-appointed cabin sleeps 6 (2 full baths). Only 7 miles from Bald River Falls, this cabin (located in the Green Cove area) is 2 miles from the Tellico Trout Hatchery and the Benton MacKaye Hiking Trail. An off-the-grid vacation paradise!

Tucked away in a wooded cove, this private studio Cabin has all the decor you would expect from us. It is near the other studios, so bring a group! Hot tub and beautiful stone electric fireplace, 65" Smart TV with Fast Wi-Fi, full kitchen, washer and dryer, foldout queen sofa, bathroom, and lovely appointments on the porch. Slip under the covers of the huge King size bed and sleep in as long as you want. Even if you are not a fisherman, you will love this for a getaway. Pets are welcome.

We are just minutes away from The Tail of The Dragon, GSMNP., The Smoky Mtn Speedway. We are 21 minutes from The Shed, 25 minutes from McGhee Tyson Airport, 35 minutes from UT. We are in the country, but still only 15/20 minutes back to town. Watch your speed and animals. We are in the country!!!

The main White House CLOSED 11/2023 when we retired to TN. This is when THE LOFT, our new Air BnB opened 04/2025. The LOFT built by the Amish, is 1200 sq. ft of open living space w/the same STUNNING views the original White House has. Only 4 miles from Historic Sweetwater, a true Hallmark Town, you can antique, have the best ice-cream, visit the infamous LOST SEA, walk to restaurants. Whatever your reason for visiting, Sweetwater will become a fast favorite for sure!
