Burnside is a cosy, secluded bolthole and perfect base to explore old Galloway. Built in the 1850s, our family restored the bungalow in 1970 and we've been visiting since. The cottage sits in a tranquil valley, a mile from the sea. It'll be just you, the wildlife and the view, within easy reach of beaches, rocky coves, and hills. The house is in an enclosed half-acre site. It sleeps five in double, twin and single bedrooms. The kitchen/living room are open plan with log burning stove and WiFi.

Large living area with wrap-around seating with fold out extra bed, dining area and a separate fully equipped kitchen. The double & twin bedrooms include wardrobes and/or overhead storage. Double glazed and centrally heated with an electric fire in the lounge. New carpets fitted. The boiler also supplies hot water. There is a veranda with a table and 4 chairs. Own parking space.

The Potager Tree House

Situated within the vegetable garden five feet up. Unfortunately, not suitable for disabled access. There is a tree coming up through the balcony which gets full sun in the morning for breakfast alfresco. Living area is small and quirky but with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Outside there is a BBQ, a wood fired whiskey barrel hot tub and enough coals and logs provided for one night. The garden is secure and dog friendly. Private entry and parking.
