The location is a short drive away from the Deep Creek activities. This can be a bonus if you were looking for a more nature based stay or a con if you wanted to be more in the mix. The house has the right amenities to enjoy the outdoors and is spacious. The kitchen is bigger than expected and the grills were great. The basement was a bit damp and the games were all well loved but honestly it wasn't a big deal. You can take peaceful walks to access water. Had a great time and this house was exactly as advertised.

We loved at our stay at this beautiful cabin! The pond in the backyard was the highlight — it led to beautiful views and a nice morning walk each day. The home was so clean and had everything we could possibly need. We had our kids with us and there were board games, puzzles and plenty of toys that they were so excited about. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were plenty of blankets in all the rooms (which we needed since it ended up being SO cold). We were expecting a nice, warm spring break getaway, but it ended up being very cold and this cabin proved to be perfect for the cold (and I bet it would’ve been even more fun in warm weather). We made s’mores in front of the beautiful pond one of the evenings. Overall, we loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again. Ken was also very accommodating and incredibly responsive — he gave us plenty of local recommendations too!

Bracken Lodge was beautiful. More than enough space for our family weekend. It is in a very private setting with wildlife everywhere. Water access was very close but did require us to drive our kayaks to the adjacent road (2 min). Would not have been easy to carry that far through the woods. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Great house and great location! John’s instructions were useful and precise.

Lovely cabin in a quiet, wooded, private neighborhood. We chose to drive to the community beach and park there (instead of walking due the steep hills) and spent hours letting the kids play and swim while we took turns stand up paddling. Takes 20-25 mins to drive to most restaurants and activities, but the scenery is gorgeous and there isn’t much traffic. We were grateful for the comfy beds and couches to rest upon after a long day of activities.

The house was great, exactly as pictured! Would definitely recommend and plan to return at some point in the future!

We had some difficulty finding our site, but once we were settled in it was great. Amber and Larry were extremely gracious and kind, and even gave us steaks to grill! It was a quick overnight, but our granddaughter enjoyed every minute of the playground and pond activities. Would visit again for sure!

Beautiful house, private. Around 20 min to stores, etc. When we arrived, the hot tub was in need of balancing (lots of foam), they sent someone out within the hour to take a look. Be aware, while the kitchen has plenty of pots and pans, there are no items such as salt, pepper, coffee filters, or extra trash bags. Overall, house is great. We had a group of seven and never felt crowded.
