We had a fabulous week here! Expectations were high and they were most definitely exceeded. Sian the host was always quick to respond with any query we had before and during our stay and was intent on making sure we had the best time possible. Local recommendations were great and the house itself is just perfect for a stay with young families which we were or for a group of friends. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending anyone to come and stay here! Thank you - we loved it!

Das Haus liegt wunderschön direkt am See - ruhig und herrliche Aussicht auf die Berge. Der Außenbeleuchtung ist großzügig mit mehreren Bereichen. Die Küche war super ausgestattet und wir hatten eine super Zeit. Trotz vieler Ausflüge haben wir versucht möglichst viel Zeit zuhause zu verbringen, um das Haus zu nutzen, besonders cool: die sundowner 🥰 Kim war ein super Host, sehr zuvorkommend , hilfsbereit und jeder Zeit erreichbar. Wir wünschten wir hätten hier noch länger bleiben können - ein absoluter Traum.

Retha's house is a gem in a beautiful and peaceful place! We had a wonderful week of vacation. There is everything you need in the house to cook properly, relax, exercise and the surroundings are gorgeous! I would go back every year, thank you so much

Stayed for a week with my 2 kids and was perfect location to explore the south peninsula and close proximity to Muizenberg beach which was great for surfing. The local 5km parkrun on Saturday mornings at Zandvlei was a short drive to the opposite side of the lake. The outdoor entertainment area is very well sheltered from the wind and also has a retractible canopy should one require more shade, which we took advantage of, and braaied every evening. Everyone also had a lot of fun using the peddalo, canoe and row boat and we even tried our hand at fishing off the pier. The open plan indoor lounge/dining room is much larger than they look in the pictures and the main bedroom has a beautiful view out of the large sliding glass windows onto the lake. The area inside Marina de Gama is very safe and has some great walks around the island. Franks Bagels inside the Marina is also a must for a breakfast or lunch and is within walking distance. Will be back and highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay!! The house was beautifully furnished, clean, and had all the needed amenities. Our host gave clear instructions and checked up on us throughout our stay. Perfect for a family gathering!! We would definitely return and recommend to anyone.

We stayed for a month in this beautiful home and it was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect,right on the lake, in a quiet, safe area. The house is spacious, well-equipped, and truly feels like a home. Our favorite part was the garden, with its lovely pool and breathtaking mountain views. During our stay, there were a few minor issues (such as the dishwasher, the gardener, and the pool), but none of these were things the owners could have foreseen or prevented. What really made the difference for us was how everything was handled—quickly, efficiently, and with great dedication. We especially want to highlight Veronica, the house concierge. Her service was exceptional. She solved every issue immediately, went above and beyond, and was always available to help and answer our questions. We have stayed in many Airbnbs all over the world, but we have never experienced this level of care and commitment. Thanks to her, our stay was seamless, and we felt completely supported. Thx!

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely house so much! The space is very light, comfortable, nice bedrooms, big kitchen, the pool, area to sit and chill out under the milkwood trees, outside shower after a walk on the beach. Steve is a super friendly host, gave us detailed information about the house, the surroundings and is quick to respond to any questions. The location is just perfect, a minute walk to the beach with view on the mountains and surfers. It’s also an easy walk from the house to grab a coffee or have a bite in the small village of Kommetjie. We’d love to come back one day.

What a wonderful 10/10 experience this has been! Arrived here on new years, spent an entire month here and ended up booking an extra week. I don't want to leave this place at all. If you are looking for an AirBnB gem, this is it. Besides the fact that this house looks like something straight out of Architectural Digest, it also feels equally amazing to be here. Ronell & Ghe made me feel like I was staying at the house of my long lost friends. From taking me on hikes, drinks, and having braai's together - they elevated my SA experience completely in the best way possible. I felt super safe as a solo female traveler, and felt extra loved by Sila&Bo, the cutest dogs who made this stay even more special. Ronell & Ghe really made me feel right at home. This was my first time in SA all and I gained two new south african friends, and hopefully one day: neighbours! Baaie dankie for one of the best experiences I could have dreamed of. I will be back <3
