I am not sure I can add more superlatives to my last review - lovely house, perfect location and terrific hospitality.

Stayed here while I attended a wedding at Redworth Hall so it was a perfect location for that. The room was nice and spacious, lovely comfy bed and I opted for the £5 cooked breakfast in the morning which was a nice treat. Paul and Jasmine made me feel very welcome.

This is a great place to stay, it was perfect for what we wanted to do, which was relax, catch up, hike and explore the local area. Bunkhouse facilities were excellent and the kitchen area was well stocked. We even made use of the outside covered seating too. Very friendly hosts, and the location was excellent. Good pub within walking distance too. Would recommend.

Great little cottage for a short stay. Angie was very helpful and friendly. Easy to find, very peaceful. Enclosed gravelled area to the back, perfect if you smoke or have a four legged friend. The pub next door was fantastic, service and food second to non, only downside is it didn't serve breakfast.

Lovely place to stay overlooking the river from Room 2. We only stayed for one night while waking Hadrian’s wall but felt very welcome and will definitely be back for a longer period next time! Thank you Brian!

Nice place to stay for a few nights. Beds were comfortable, able to to have coffee and tea in the room. Cafe next door that is cheap and nice for breakfast. Easy to find and parking was very useful!! Would stay again.

100% worth the price, best of the best. We had a really really great time together. Pete has a very strong sense of humor, and Carole makes us a wonderful local feast and breakfast. It’s FLAWLESS! My family is really enjoyed. One thing I hate is our English is not so good that we can’t express all our happiness. Even that, they use translation apps to break the barrier. There are so many wonderful details that can't be expressed in the comments. They show the true brilliance of humanity and tell us that friendship knows no boundaries. 100 out of 10!

The room looks just like the photo. The whole house was spotless/clean/tidy. Avril & Angus were welcoming and really helpful - the perfect hosts. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choice. And the in-room snacks & drinks were plentiful. Hoping to stay again next year xx

Another lovely stay at the Cara! The beach is on the doorstep & you come back to a warm stylish room, soft white towels, hot shower & TV. Lots of choice for breakfast, from full English to pancakes or breakfast burritos even! You'll feel really looked after by Mareia or Julia if you stay at the Cara. Highly recommended. brenda x

Steve is a fantastic host!! Warm and welcoming. The House is lovely and cosy, was the perfect overnight stay for the event I was up in the area for. Steve put on a great breakfast including delicious home made bread. Can’t recommend enough. Enjoy

Very welcoming stay with Jan and Doug. It was like coming home after a few days hiking and they cooked an amazing breakfast. Good location and easy to walk into the town centre too.

Good food, clean comfy accommodation. Everything as described and easy parking to top it off. Would definitely recommend

What a beautiful home, in a beautiful location. Pat was an amazing host, was very responsive to my questions and went over and beyond to make me feel welcome. The dogs were extremely well natured and a delight to be around. I had a very relaxing weekend, with great food and company. So thanks again.

We stayed here with our two dogs to break the journey on our return home from Scotland. Patricia was so kind and friendly and a true dog lover. The garden was safe and enclosed so our dogs could have a good run around. The annex was super clean, very spacious and we had a lovely breakfast before setting off. I highly recommend Patricia's B&B.

Firstly, and most importantly, Sara was the most incredible host. She is a wonderful human, and looked after me perfectly. Coffee and breakfast in the morning. She arranged a seat in the sun for reading outside in the afternoon, and pre-lit the fire in the evening so the private living room was cozy on my return from dinner. And so much more. Birkenpath is a gem of a house, set in the most gorgeous nature. Large and comfy bedroom inside, and gorgeous hikes just out the front door. Don’t hesitate to book. It is among the very best of the best.
