What a wonderful week we had at this place! The surroundings and nature with the lake were unreal! The pool was spectacular and the entire family enjoyed every minute of our stay! So close to everything you need and some of the best beaches in Florida! Would recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful oasis getaway!

I arrived late after dark but Chris’ guest duplex had a light on. Also there is attractive landscape lighting both front and in the enchanting private backyard patio. It felt magical entering this lovely place located in one of the best neighborhoods in Sarasota. This duplex was spotless and attractively furnished. It was equipped with everything you could possibly need. Chris is a responsive, helpful host who respects the guest’s privacy. This is the place to stay if you ever visit Sarasota.

“Better than the Ritz” MAGICAL sunrises that are visible from just about anywhere on the property. Enjoyed peaceful evenings by the glistening water that surrounds. Enjoyed chatting with my 2 teenagers at the dining table on the screened in porch. My 14 year old son loved that he could fish all day and night. (Bait shop was only a 5 min drive) All 3 beds were luxuriously comfortable. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom tucked into it with luxury showers and tastefully simplistic design. The cottage is built with AUTHENTIC wood (cedar i think?) that adds to the feeling of being grounded in nature. Nice pool steps from the back door. Sunsets on the beach are an easy walk across the street. The “Our Place” toaster oven/air fryer works great. Cooking with a view is much more enjoyable! Wish I could live here and would love to return asap. Thank you Jack for your hospitality!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Montana’s property. We were a family of 4 and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. We would definitely recommend!

This was the perfect place to stay for a beach getaway. It’s located right across the street from the beach within walking distance, and there are some great restaurants in the area. The house had all the amenities I could ask for. The host was helpful and responsive. Great experience. An added bonus is that the beach gear and beach towels are included, even a cart to lug everything. Overall this is a great find. I’d highly recommend this house to others. I would stay again next time I’m in the area.

This place really is a slice of heaven. The bikes and beach chairs were really handy to have. The space is perfect for a couple and kitchen is stacked with everything for cooking. We would stay here again!

Loved this place. Super clean and “airy” - no clutter. Being able to take the golf cart out to explore the water and charming town was a huge bonus. We also enjoyed the private pool. Beds are comfy. Water pressure and shower temps perfect. Beach gear and towels included. No needs unmet. Great stay and a great value.

We are so happy and blessed to had found this home available. It was more than what we expected. Everything was clean and in order. Our host was responsive and available during our stay. We loved and enjoyed the pool very much and had everything we needed to have fun days at the beach . We would definitely stay here again. We are Very very happy. Thank you.

I would call Scrugg’s Harbor the hidden gem of IRB! Fantastic price for the location, and Morgan and her team go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay. We were upgraded to Kamp Komfort waterfront cottage since it was available and wow- just what I needed to have beautiful beach views from the living and kitchen area. The back porch is HUGE and the perfect spot for sunset, dolphin and bird watching. Restaurants and nightlife are within walking distance. The place is spotless inside and even the sand is raked. Washer/ dryers, chairs umbrellas and more available for use. Located on a quieter stretch of the beach which is fantastic! I highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience the beach cottage lifestyle!
