Nick went above and beyond in supporting our trip. We were 10 adults 6 kids, for me the old worldly feel & nature showing through every window was unreal-Every room felt unique & special. Some family messages below to help summarize the home :) •Aged 11: The house was lovely one of the best experiences I’ve ever been to, it is a massive place and it was a really nice fun place in a little town •Aged 45: It was a wonderful stay and exactly as described. Beautiful peaceful surroundings, very close to village but feels like we were out in the country. House, Beautifully decorated, big but yet felt very cosy. Everything you could possibly need was provided for. Outside amenities included a hot tub which was the icing on the cake of a magnificent property •Aged 74: Such a wonderful ambience for a family gathering so peaceful •Aged 43: Nothing like having you're own personal hotel for a weekend :) Aged 12: I want to live there, it was gorgeous. This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.

Really enjoyed our stay for a family celebration, great open plan kitchen, living, dining and garden lovely for spending time altogether. Flexible bedrooms - able to make one a twin. Clean, well equipped and luxurious feel. Two full bathrooms. Street is quiet, feels safe and parking easy, no shops, cafes, bars etc. within close walking distance. Bus or Uber both easy to get into city centre and was nice to escape the hustle and bustle after a day sightseeing and at the festival. Suspect price was higher due to time of year and compared to other properties we viewed were very happy we chose this one. Rachel was very prompt with communication, instructions, restaurant recommendations and help when required.

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 5 other adults - one of the best decisions! As a start, check-in was smooth. Everyone has their bed, towels which is great. Had to figure out the heater (our country is Summer all year) and Lukas was very responsive. This location is almost a straight drive to the city centre. With free parking at the location, it gave us great relief to know we won’t get penalised. Love this place! I would recommend this to others.

The kids had an amazing time in the massive enclosed garden. The hot tub was excellent and the games room a real bonus. The bedrooms were superb and the kitchen and main living area amazing especially the views. I can’t really fault this place, or Rachael who always responded promptly, and would definitely book this place again.

Very welcoming upon arrival, showed us where everything is. Good appliances. Comfy atmosphere. Very willing couple, will help you out with what they can! Eg; directions, places to eat/drink. Hot tub nice and clean. Can’t fault the place or the hosts. Genuinely a good night stay. Recommend 100%

To only give this Airbnb a 5 star rating feels very unfair, if I could have given it higher I would have. The property was beautifully presented, had amazing large communal spaces, with a very high standard of furniture, furnishings, and cleanliness. Our room was spacious and luxurious. The beds were great quality, and it was full of nice extra touches. The hosts were extremely generous, gracious, and friendly. A fantastic experience for us that will be hard for anyone else to top. We will definitely try to book this accommodation in the future when we are in the area. I have been fortunate enough to have many great experiences using Airbnb, but this was easily the Best.
