What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

The Old shires barn was beyond our expectations, with an absolutely beautiful living space. The gift basket and robes were a very nice touch that made us feel at home. The owners were very responsive, helpful and friendly throughout. It was a pleasure to stay here and would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely stay here. The cottage is better than the photos, especially the master bedroom in sunlight, beautiful. Everything you could need was provided. Quiet footpaths all around so some nice walks. I would definitely go back.

This was an amazing property. It was very peaceful and beautiful! It was close enough to London driving but still in the countryside where it was relaxing and away from the busyiness. I would recommend this property to others!

Review for previous Airbnb: We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful place! The house itself was very homey and comfortable, with spacious rooms, comfy beds, and charming decorations that made it feel really welcoming. The kitchen was large and well-equipped, and we especially enjoyed the outdoor seating area and private garden — perfect for meals in the sunshine. The gardens were absolutely gorgeous, with lots of space to sit, relax, and explore. There were even orchards at the bottom of the property, which added such a peaceful, countryside feel. We had a few great BBQs outside and our dog loved all the open space to run around and enjoy. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, always quick to answer any questions. The only downside was the Wi-Fi due to the rural location which wasn’t always quite strong enough for watching TV or doing much work online. But aside from that, it was a truly tranquil and relaxing place to stay. Would definitely recommend!

The cottages are in a beautiful location, with precise locations from Doug which made it easy to locate. The house was well kept and the hot tub was a brilliant addition with instructions on how to operate if unsure, the hospitality was great. As well the grounds around the church and cottage’s are kept to tip top condition. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back.

We had a wonderful stay The cottage is well located for walkers (we were walking the Pilgrim Way) with beautiful views. It had everything we needed and felt like home from home. We appreciated the little extras, milk, apple juice, tea, coffee, shower gel etc. Lots to do locally and we made use of the Coop and local pubs in Lenham. Peter and Stella could not have been more helpful.

Such a fantastic stay! We are a young family with a 4 month old baby in the area visiting family and this was the perfect base of operations. It was easy to find (the picture of the outside and orientation to the pub was very helpful), the check in was super smooth and Alex and Philippa’s communication was excellent. You could tell when we first arrived that the place had recently been thoroughly cleaned to a super high standard, and the amenities were perfection. We didn’t make use of the tea/coffee facilities but the fresh milk available on arrival was a really nice touch that felt very welcoming. The place itself was really nice as well, cosy and exactly as pictured/described. We’ll definitely be staying again next time we’re in the area! Highly recommend, thanks for a wonderful stay!

Lovely little place! Gorgeous walk through woods on your doorstep, dog friendly, and lovely bedroom and bathroom! Nice garden area too, and parking right outside. There’s no oven or hob but the listing does explain that!

This was our second time at The Stable and it didn’t disappoint. Clean, very comfortable and some luxurious touches. Great area for things to do, right by the sea but still peaceful and relaxing.

We would like to say a big thank you. We had a fantastic weekend stay at this property. The garden was 100% safe for our dog and we found it nice and quiet, surrounded by nature and orchards. Mark had left lots of leaflets showing what's going on in the area, and was very kind to recommend places to visit and eat/drink. The accommodation was designed and decorated with alot of thought and attention to detail, to establish a very comfortable stay. We will certainly be visiting again.

Lovely cottage. The hosts dad was lovely and friendly and very attentive. Made us feel very welcome. The cottage has beautiful surroundings and is extremely peaceful. We felt very at home and the cottage was very cosy . Was nice to have a warm place . Lovely walks as well.

Home from home. Comfortable, clean and just perfect for my stay visiting my daughter and grandsons. Jeanette left me a welcome present which was much appreciated as it was a return visit. Very quiet area and perfect for walking around the village. Always an asset to be able to park your car off the road too. 5 star on everything. Can't wait to go back and Jeanette living next door is a huge bonus.

We had a lovely family holiday in Well Cottage. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. Angela and Paul were excellent hosts : they gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home. They were very responsive to our requests and we would like to thank Paul for his his recommendations. The cottage is ideally located in a beautiful and peaceful rural environment and, with the motorway just a short drive away, it's an excellent base for the exploring the region. We particularly liked the walks in the Hucking Estate close by. Thank you Angela and Paul for your hospitality. Would highly recommend .

Jacqueline's Cottage truly lived up to all expectations set forth from previous reviews. The surroundings are peaceful and idyllic, and she has created a "suburban retreat" within SevenOaks. The cottage is very well kept and appointed, and there is very little to desire that has not already been provided, right down to the fresh-baked bread and goodie basket awaiting your arrival. We would recommend the cottage to families, couples, or mature friends traveling together. If you like to enjoy the countryside with walks in the fields, I'd imagine you won't find better. Very ideal for a weekend getaway, long-term stay, or visiting your boarding Sennockian.

My friend and I spent 1 night at this lovely accommodation. It's just perfect. Surrounded by nature, and very calming. Michelle has thought about everything you may need. We were really impressed with the cleanliness and it was even better than we expected. Michelle is a great host, very welcoming and kind. We went to the local pub which was lovely. Would definitely return

Beautiful cottage which was clean and tidy. Plaxtol is such a nice, peaceful village and there are plenty of country walks nearby. Exactly what we wanted for a little getaway with our 11 month old baby. Naomi was very helpful and was there if we needed anything. Had a wonderful time and if we are in that part of the world again, we would be sure to return.

We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this beautiful little cottage. Louise and Graham were perfect hosts, sadly the local pub in Harvel was no longer open but the local Coffee shop did a fantastic breakfast.
