Welcome! Come explore the wonderful area of Mount Vernon, Iowa. We are within walking distance to Main Street, its shops and eateries, Bijou Movie Theater, and Cornell College! Both Cedar Rapids and Iowa City are also a short drive away. You will be close to everything when you stay at our centrally-located home! The home comfortably accommodates 6 guests. A Queen Air Mattress is available for an additional 2 guests. There is a $15 fee per night per person for 7th and 8th guest. 8 guests max.

Just a quick mile (3 minutes) to the interstate makes this place close enough to be convenient and far enough to be quiet. Or, instead of hopping on the interstate, just continue on into the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids for business or pleasure. Luxurious 12 inch memory foam mattresses on each bed for exceptional rest. When you're awake, there's a Keurig and high speed internet (100 Mb).

Only a few minutes walk to many entertainment venues, museums, galleries, four live theaters, Coe College and many churches and restaurants. It is located within walking distance of Uptown Marion historic district and is a few blocks from HWY 100. A few blocks from your apartment are great boutiques, pubs and sports bars. The Marion Square across from the library is a great place for live entertainment on Thursday nights. Newbo District in Cedar Rapids is just a 17 min, Cedar Rapids Medquarter is a 15 min.

The historic Hogle House was home to Dr. Kate Hogle, the first female doctor in Mount Vernon, alumni of Cornell College; and her husband, Dr. George Hogle. Irish hill guests will have access to a .25 acre yard (unfenced). Only blocks away from uptown Marion!
