Very nice place. It was very clean and well stocked. Neighbors around but very private. Beautiful setting. Krista was very responsive and helpful. The decor was nicely done. The house does have a lived in look and the couch is a bit worn. The beds were all comfortable. Beautiful deck and nice hot tub. The pool table is worn with a slope. It was fine for a friendly game, but don’t plan on a serious game. About 45 minutes to Asheville. We first arrived in the dark, which made it a bit interesting finding the house. All in all we loved the place and would gladly go back. Only problem, we never saw Gomez the cat.

I greatly appreciate having the opportunity to discover this place in an area that means a great deal to our family. Vanessa was very helpful and very responsive even as I arrived later in the night. I was only there for a few hours because of leaving in the morning but I would appreciate the opportunity to stay longer and enjoy the hospitality and the support from Vanessa another time.

This was our 2nd stay. The pool is really nice and is lots of fun. The view from the pool deck and porch deck is stunning looking at the mountains. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed. The upstairs bedroom had a super comfy bed and was extra roomy. The Black Mountain area has some really neat restaurants and culture. Overall it is a great place for couples or families.

We had a wonderful ladies weekend here. The house was beautiful and the the surroundings were so peaceful. We enjoyed sitting at the dock and kayaking. The house was spotless and had everything we needed for the weekend. We would love to come back again in the future.

We felt right at home in this comfortable, peaceful, beautiful home! The location is perfect, not too far from Black Mountain or Old Fort. We enjoyed sitting by the creek, sitting in the hot tub and laying around in the hammocks just enjoying the birds and the fantastic sound of the babbling brook! Our family of 6 fit perfectly! Jason was very responsive to the internet issue we had at check in, he came immediately and solved the issue! He was warm, funny and friendly! We would not hesitate to stay at Foxie Moxie again!

Nice house. A little dated, but that was kind of nostalgic. Mountain views are breathtaking!!

Gustavo and Isabel's home was amazing. The home looked just like the pictures, and the views from the balcony were beautiful and hard to capture in a photo. My stay was with other colleagues who have never been to the mountains of North Carolina, which made the experience even better. They absolutely loved staying here. There was plenty of room to stretch out and designate a quiet house. We gathered in one home to cook, which was so much fun. It is located deep in the mountain, so stores were a drive away, however, our group didn't seem to mind it at all. It is nearby the peak of Mount Mitchell, which was a great activity to do together. Would highly recommend this listing. Definitely worth staying here again!

We had a great stay at this rustic old home for three weeks (!). Terry and his son checked in with us regularly and helped coordinate a couple of small issues. We loved coming home from our clay retreat days covered in clay and jumping straight into the outdoor shower. Great spot.

5 Stars — A Perfect Stay! Allison and Cory were incredible hosts! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless—check-in was a breeze, the space was spotless, and every little detail felt thoughtfully curated. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. The home was cozy, stylish, and had all the comforts you’d hope for (plus a few extra touches that made it feel special). Communication was quick and friendly, and they made sure I felt welcome the entire time. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommend!

Blin's place was spotless, comfortable and the view was stunning - Fall leaves were in full color while we were there. The bathrooms were spacious and clean - the water was hot with good pressure. The king bed in the master was supportive and comfortable. I heard no complaints about the bunk room beds the kids used. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, bowls and cooking utensils. All appliances worked well. It was muddy while we were there so we rolled up the light colored rugs so we didn't accidentally stain them. We had our dog with us and there was plenty of area for him to run and the streets were quiet for a walk along the road. There are steps all the way to the water which will be amazing for lake access in the summer. As it was cold while we were there and the lake was still recovering from Hurrican Helene, we did not get in the water. All in all it was a great place to stay.

Karen was helpful in sending recommendations and communication regarding the impact of Helene on the area. Always answered questions and put us at ease. The suite was beautiful and the amenities were nice and the views were great. Instructions were helpful. I would highly recommend this suite

Such a great space for one or two people looking for an affordable space near Black Mountain. The accommodations were pristine and the hot tub was a great amenity. Easy to find, just two miles from downtown Black Mountain.

M & J are the epitome of what I feel AirBnB is about. Having an opportunity to be in a “home away from home” vs. the impersonal feeling of a hotel. I loved that I had a space in the garage to pull right in & I felt very safe. I had everything I needed for my month long stay. It was clean, orderly, peaceful, & I had plenty of space for me & my dogs. The outdoor space was very nice as well. Margaret is super friendly & accommodating. We actually got to go on some walks & a few meals with card games & it was so nice getting to know her. However she respects your space too & everything is super quiet. It was easy to work remotely indoors from day to day but also get out & explore the area. There was plenty of cooking items, fresh towels & bedding. I had plenty of room to store my stuff and keep it all organized with the armoire, closet, roomy bathroom & plenty of hooks. Margaret was so accommodating for my dogs as well and I never felt stressed about having them with me. Can’t say enough.

We had a wonderful time visiting Burnsville. Philip was a great host and his place was just as described. The views were amazing and plenty of space for everyone. I would highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the area.

This was my second stay at Kevin's. It was perfect for my kids and I for the week. It had all of the conveniences of home - kitchen tools, laundry, clean bathroom. It's a very safe neighborhood and Kevin is a very friendly and responsive host.

Guy's place was awesome! Our stay was comfortable and entertaining. We only could stay one night, but we'd love to come back. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the cabin for a death in our family March 2025 and wanted a place clean, relaxing and quiet and we got just that!! We did have a "tiny" issue but when Tamra found out she was on it, and it was corrected quickly and we even talked on the phone, and she was the sweetest person. The Cabin was clean and comfy and so relaxing, and the beds were so comfortable also. We would definitely come back to stay & recommend it to anyone!!

Tamra was super friendly. All was as described. Area is beautiful. Hot tub, quick walk to Lookout Mountain hiking trails, and short drive to cute Black Mountain town were a big plus!

My husband and myself enjoyed our stay this weekend ! It was very pleasant and we enjoyed Dean’s hospitality. The place is fully equipped and I would recommend this place to anyone !

We loved our stay!!! The owners were very responsive, the home is extremely clean and the beds are so comfortable…plus the treats were a nice bonus!
