Welcome to 'Tales of 1943' A property where 3-generations of my family were raised and today has been converted & renovated with modern and stylish interiors and amenities for you to experience. Located in the heart of Shillong city, this independent Assam-type home has been around for more than 80 years and is perfect for anyone looking for an escape. With timber-framed walls, slanting roofs, wooden floors, and a cozy fireplace in each room, this home is the perfect encapsulation of Shillong.

It is comfortable, budget, simple, no frills, no fuss (a soft bed, hot water, wifi, TV, coffee & lots of pine fresh oxygen)And visually spacious inside. The hiking trail & pine forest are accessible through a back gate *Luggage storage also accomodated

Centrally located in the capital city of Shillong offering a peaceful environment, perfect for getaways/long stays/workations. The property is conveniently located near Pantaloons and is 0.5 km (5 mins walk) away from Laitumkhrah which is one of the main hubs of Shillong. The room is spacious (16x14) with attached bath and a kitchen. It is well equipped with a smart TV, Wi-Fi, geyser and other basic amenities. Parking is available within the compound. The Home Stay has 1 queensize bed, & 3 comfy sofas cum beds that turns into a second double bed + 1 single bed. The pool is a rainwaterharvesting unit and fresh water may not be available/feasible for swimming purposes all the time!

The "A" Frame

A Home to Coziest Memories. Come experience life in a tiny "A" Frame home wit minimalistic living equipped with a lounge & loft. Located about 5 kms fr main city, guests can enjoy their stay in a place a little away from town which is easily accessible by 4 or 2 wheeler. Guests have absolute privacy as only one home is located in the property. To make their visit more adventurous, guests can explore scenic places of their choice on Cycles or E-Cycles which can be rented out fr this facility

This ground floor unit has an open floor design where one bed is in the hall which also has the sitting and dining area. It contains a 43" Smart TV with broadband connection and basic kitchen items for you to prepare your own breakfast. Situated in one of the best residential and commercial area of Shillong, we are only a 5 minutes walk away from from the bustling Laitumkhrah main road where you can find all kinds of shops and some of the best cafes, bistros, and restaurants in town.

This apartment is on the Ground Floor for easy access for any differently- abled or elderly guests who aren’t able to climb stairs, two entries are possible- one that has only a few stairs as shown in the pictures and one through the caretaker’s room which would require no stairs i.e., directly from the car park to the apartment. In the middle of Shillong Town and the New Shillong Township. 3 kms to NEIGHRIMS. 5 kms to Laitumkhrah. 8 kms to Police Bazaar. 5 kms to Polo Ground.

Russet: The Folkstone Cottage

The Folkstone cottage room on the ground floor is your own private space with a seperate entrance ,own bathroom and kitchenette . The room has Twin Beds to accommodate 2 people and an extra diwan bed for lounging. The house is located 3 km from the city centre. Transport, ATMs cafes bars restaurants, shopping and other amenities are within easy reach. i Backroads provide for good walks from this place.
