Hetherington Downs - A quiet private place to stay

Josie and Neil welcome you to Hetherington Downs, their quiet 42 acre North Waikato rural property, set well away from the road & with magnificent views over Lake Waahi and beyond It is a 10m x 3m self contained Compac cabin with a 10m x 3m deck Wifi has only recently been connected to the cabin There is no TV It is most suitable for a couple, but also has a pull out sofa bed (& folding mattress) for your use if required The cabin was new in June 2017 and has now been set up for Airbnb guests

Skippers Hideout

A modern tidy studio with attached bathroom and kitchenette thats seperate from the main house. The bed is a queen size and theres a small table with two chairs as well. The kitchenette has basic bench top cooking facilities, a sink, toaster, kettle with a small fridge too. I run a fishing charter boat on a trailer out of the driveway too, so you might experience charter customers, fish and early or late noises during your stay. Only 14 minutes walk to town and 6 minutes walk to raglan wharf.

Atarau Beach Retreat

Relax and unwind in this beautiful studio apartment. Enjoy the view of Moonlight Bay, and the tranquil surrounds of native bush and bird song. Take the private walkway to the bay for a swim, or see it from a different perspective using the kayaks provided for guests. Vibrant Raglan township is a quick five minute car trip (or enjoy the 30 minute walk), where you can find great restaurants, cafes, beaches, and other amenities. Walk along the beach to The Wharf for fish and chips at low tide.

Kaitoke Cottage

This cosy modern cottage is nestled amongst native trees and birdlife. Just steps from the scenic Kaitoke Walkway, this modern one-bedroom abode combines cosy comfort with a light footprint. The cottage offers an open living area, separate bedroom, bathroom and a private patio-area, all crafted with sustainable materials. The cottage is located in the back of our family property with private access and carpark. We provide fresh linen and towels, tea & coffee, and basic cooking facilities.

The Outpost - Seaview Treehouse

Reconnect with nature in a tiny house surrounded by native bush in a calm and inspiring space overlooking the Tasman sea and just above the world class surf breaks of Indicators and Whale Bay. On the property we have a number of completely unique structures spaced apart in the bush to give maximum privacy. All are designed and positioned to make the most of the surrounding bush and ocean below. There is a large lawn area for guests to enjoy and a beautiful outdoor hot water shower.

Dutch Dream

Situated in the heart of Raglan, our tiny home is walking distance away from Lorenzen Bay and the Raglan Wharf. A short 15 minute walk will get you into the village center and a 15 minute drive to the renowned surf breaks and swimming hotspots. The tiny home hosted by Robert and Annemarie is a modern, self contained, newly built space that offers all modern appliances, comfortable queen size bed with fresh linen and an upstairs space providing a small reading nook with stunning views.

A cosy 2-bedroom house with a 1-bedroom sleepout that also doubles as an office. Perfect for families and couples who want to blend work and play, or small groups who are respectful of the house and its neighbours. We are also Pet-friendly Just a 15-minute walk to town and beaches, 10 minutes to a safe swimming spot, and 5–10 minutes’ drive to Raglan’s famous surf. Kick back on the deck, enjoy the open-plan living, or use the sleepout to plan your next step, or check in with work

Hakarimata Hideaway with Magical Gloworm Tour.

Nestled at the foot of the Hakarimata range, the cabin is completely private and separate from the hosts residence. It is the perfect retreat, a place to break up your journey or as a base for the many tourist, cycling or walking activities the Waikato has to offer. The cabin has a queen-sized bed with ensuite. The kitchenette has gas hobs with small fridge, kettle, toaster, and all basic utensils. Milk, tea and coffee are included. There’s wifi and a TV with Chromecast.

Nikau studio Whale bay Raglan - Forest Retreat

Relax at a unique and tranquil getaway, cosy, romantic and immersed in nature. An open plan studio nestled next to a gentle stream on the native forested foothills of Whale bay, Raglan. An easy 6 min walk to the surf at Whale bay, Indicators or Outside Indicators a few mins drive to Manu bay or Ngarunui beach. Warm and cosy with a beautiful open fire, modern insulation & large double glazed sliding doors. The heat pump heats the studio within 15mins.

On the harbour, spa and kayak

Harbourfront Studio – Relax & Recharge 🏝️ Peaceful self-contained studio on a quiet peninsula, just 10 mins from Raglan. Swim or fish from the jetty, paddle to Okete Falls with complimentary kayaks, and soak in your own hot tub overlooking the harbour. Highlights: • Absolute harbourfront • Private spa/hot tub • Single & double kayaks included We live upstairs—nearby if needed, but your space is fully private. No pets or parties.

Rural retreat

Private studio with spectacular views. Hosts house on same property so readily available, self catering but meals available by arrangement. A place to relax and get away from it all, nearby Nikau Caves and Cafe, Port Waikato surf beach and Harkers Resrve for Bush Walks ,We now have aircon and wifi. We do have a couple of dogs who like to greet guests in the morning with a bark but it doesn’t go on for long and not every morning
