We usually stay during the winter (which is so peaceful and beautiful) but were thrilled to have a chance to stay during some warm weather during the kids spring break. We were able to fish, catch some crabs, kayak, enjoy walks and play on the "beach". We had a blast and are so grateful for the beautiful weather and peaceful retreat. Thank you for sharing your bit of paradise with us!

A quiet neighborhood and waterfront. We really enjoyed the fire pit, the wide, open space inside and out and the comfortable beds and couches. The kayaks were a plus, along with the PacMan, air hockey and other games in the garage. We spent lots of time there! The house is close to Kilmarnock with all the big box stores and a hospital. An adorable Main Street also! We enjoyed our stay!

Kimberly and Jonathan are wonderful hosts. Our family was very comfortable and found everything just as described. The touches to have a welcome binder and guide on Airbnb were so helpful and the messages we received during our stay were well timed and informative. The water front beach is squeezed between two private properties but make sure you take time to walk over and visit at sunset. The water really sparkles and it’s beautiful! Our 11 year old dog enjoyed the water and it made our family so happy to see our kids and dogs have so much fun exploring the waterfront. We also used the kayaks and life jackets. After our stay the hosts went well out of their way to reunite us with an item we left behind. We hope many of you will stay at their property and enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks!

I stayed at Meg's beautiful home with my bridesmaids for my wedding weekend in Deltaville, and it was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, clean, and well-organized, which made it a comfortable and relaxing place to stay during such a special time. Meg was so kind and responsive, providing helpful local recommendations and detailed instructions for the house. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage by the water! The home itself is cozy, spotless, and thoughtfully decorated — it felt like a true retreat. Waking up to the peaceful views of the water every morning was just magical. The location is perfect, with some fantastic restaurants just a short drive away — everything from fresh seafood to charming cafes. Heather was incredibly welcoming and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. I can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to come back!

Great spot, beautiful dock, comfortable beds. We had a great time here with dear family friends. Do note you may need to bring neospresso if you’d like to use the machine. Lovely that kayaks and life jackets were included!

The perfect spot for our Winter getaway. A beautiful setting and a well preserved colonial era cabin, perfect for exploring such an historic part of our Country. Quaint local restaurants, friendly people and a country setting handy to the lower tidewater Virginia. The icing on the cake was the fireplace for cozy evenings reading a good book. The home sits on a nice point of land at the end of a quiet road. It is a nice mix of early 20th century charm and modern with spacious living room, kitchen, and bedrooms. The living room and large deck allow unobstructed views of the water. The home is well-kept, clean, and includes everything you need for a pleasant getaway. And, it is a short (10 min.) drive to the shops and restaurants in Kilmarnock. A relaxing, recommended stay.
