Cute little place just blocks from the beach! Downtown is right around the corner and easily walkable. For folks with mobility issues, be aware that the interior stairs are very steep. We navigated them fine. Also, remember this is a duplex so there might be someone next to you. Our weekend neighbors were pleasant and friendly. Great stay!

Lorena was a great host from start to finish. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. We did have a dog run up to the porch barking but that is no fault of our wonderful host. We sure loved the view and peaceful atmosphere. We would absolutely return.

This is the perfect home base to explore charming Cape Charles! The location simply can’t be beat - one block in one direction to the beach and one block in the other to the quaint downtown area with shops and restaurants. We never used the car once while there - such a nice change of pace! The house is also so roomy and comfortable, gets beautiful light, and is well stocked with everything you might need! We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch rocking chairs and watching the world go by. Highly recommend - will definitely come back!

Our multi-generational family loved our two weeks at Big Bay. The house is well-appointed and comfortable, and the beach, which you can see from the living room, dining room, and kitchen, is stunning. Water toys (paddle boards, floats, PFDs, chairs, etc.) are available in the garage under the house. There have been updates to the deck since the photos were taken - the side deck on the left of the house when you’re looking from the water is covered and screened with a table and the aforementioned outdoor kitchen. It’s a great place to enjoy the nice weather and catch the breeze without having to worry about the sun. Just in front of the screened-in area is a large, comfortable couch. Susan let us know before we arrived that a couple of the burners on the grill in the outdoor kitchen weren’t working & provided us a different grill from one of her other properties to use instead. We really appreciated that she was proactive and it was a great solution for our needs. We hope to return!

This home is lovely! We had more than enough space for our family to spread out. We loved the porch and the sun room. The games in the garage were fantastic! Having canoes and kayaks right there on the creek was great. We visit for four days over my daughter's spring break, and it was very relaxing. If you are a nature fan, I highly recommend this property. I spent hours watching crabs, birds, and other critters. There was even a family of baby foxes that we could watch playing from the deck. Thanks for a great getaway.

Such a perfect end of summer trip as two families of four. We spent almost the entire time outside, using the standup paddle boards at our small private beach, which is less than half a mile from the house and really easy to get to. The kids had so much fun, feeding the pigs and visiting the cows. We brought the kids bikes as all of the little back Roads were really fun to navigate, the kids said they would love to go back! The hosts were excellent, delicious ciders for the adults right next-door and we got ground beef and steaks from them for both the nights We were there to grill out.

Upon our arrival at the charming farmhouse on the lake, we were filled with excitement and anticipation for relaxation and adventure. The house was stunning, offering ample space with plenty of rooms for everyone. The kitchen was a delight to cook in and served as a perfect gathering spot. Access to the grilling area was convenient, and dining on the airy patio was a truly enjoyable experience. The views of the cows and chickens were delightful, adding to the farm's rustic charm. The lake itself was a tranquil oasis, perfect for birdwatching. We were thrilled to catch glimpses of bald eagles among other fascinating wildlife. We particularly appreciated the fresh bread and eggs left for us on the counter, which added a lovely homey touch to our stay. We highly recommend this oasis.

Wow.. where do I start? I have a strict heart healthy diet. Only whole grain products with no dairy, meat, nuts, and oil. Brenda communicated well before the start to make sure her special dinner and breakfast dishes met my requirements. Brenda did a magnificent job. Not were the meals outstanding, the setting for her air b&b is perfect. The Northern Neck is a special place in Virginia. Staying at Brenda’s “Perfect View” in the Northern Neck was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Doug's place for the week. The house was laid out very well for the family of 10. We normally go to the Southeastern NC beaches for our annual vacation, but now we know that we can also have a great time at the Bay, lodging at Doug's lovely home.

The Clark Construction team enjoyed the offsite bonding, efficiency, and great Cape Charles fishery with local guide Clint Lessard on Sho-Nuf Charters. Great time all around and plenty of fish were caught. Hoping to return next year. The Coastal Soul AirBnB was immaculate. Perfect setup for multiple people, well appointed kitchen and seating areas, and great hosts. Thankful for all involved.

The Laughing King (and the Honeymoon Island Cottage in particular) were fantastic! A wonderful quick getaway from DC for couples. The property is gorgeous - a farm with a historic old house that is the main lodge, surrounded by hundred-year-old oak trees, a standalone cottage (that we stayed in for 3 nights), open fields, a saltwater pool, and private beach with dock and a boat and SUPs for guest use. MJ serves up gourmet breakfasts (eggs Benedict, avocado toast, French toast, quiche, etc. over the course of our stay) + coffee in the morning and also dished out recommendations on local spots to visit. 100% will be back!

Blue Belle was a fun and roomy place to spend a long weekend with our family! It’s in a great area and was easy to get anywhere you wanted to go in Cape Charles. We rented a golf cart but it wasn’t in the best of shape. That’s not Doug’s fault but that of the rental company. Therefore, we didn’t really use it as much as we would have liked. Doug was prompt in getting the washing machine repaired and it was needed. Our granddaughters enjoyed playing the ring on a string game on the back porch and walk to the beach nearby. I recommend staying here!

Charming Cape Charles getaway! I was so happy to find this gem and even more thrilled when I arrived. From the beautiful landscape of the gated community, to the southern charm of this glorious suite…I wanted for nothing. This enormous suite has all the comforts of home and the location was spectacular. The property offered not only a private beach on the bay , a community pool, a beautiful well maintained golf course, it was also a short drive to the charming town of Cape Charles. Dawn offered endless advice to her favorite restaurants, activities to do and places to see while we visited. She was just a text or call away if I needed anything. Her hospitality was beyond measure. I look forward to coming back.

Mary was a fantastic host this weekend for my brothers Bachelor Party! Property is perfect for larger gatherings with plenty of sleeping space and community areas like the beach and firepit. Would highly recommend this property for people visiting the Williamsburg VA area!

The home was easy to find and very clean. We loved the beachfront and peaceful surroundings. We've been to Gloucester before and it is a cute little place to explore and has what you need. I would definitely choose this airbnb again if in the area! Thank you for sharing!

This home is absolutely beautiful. I loved being able to wake up early and watch the sun rise over the Chesapeake bay. Even though it was cold the kids enjoyed splashing in the water with their rain boots. We spent the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at colonial Williamsburg. Afterwards we ate at Captain George’s, a place Tas recommended. It was absolutely worth it. I was also pleased with being able to make a good Thanksgiving meal. The stay was relaxing and peaceful. We would love to come back in the near future.

We had a wonderful time at The Sand Crab. It is perfect for young kids who are looking to enjoy the beach and water. The outside shower made it so easy for us to wash after the beach. The house is well equipped, and wonderfully decorated. We are grateful for Chris and his family for opening up their home for us to stay and enjoy a family vacation. For sure, we will be back!

Our family Thanksgiving was great! What a beautiful home with a breathtaking view of the water!! Just waking up each day with that beautiful sunrise over the water was wonderful to see. What a hidden gem! Everything you possibly have needed was provided in the home. The fireplace was very nice especially on those cold evenings! We can't wait to return! This is a beautiful location for those seeking to relax and bask in the sea breeze. The property offers private space right on top of the water and a large back porch with endless views of the horizon. The home offers large windows all throughout and the furniture is arranged nicely so that the sun rise gently wakes you from sleep in the morning. The entry into the area, a small road between the marsh, gives the instant feeling that it's time to unplug. The community was quiet and and offered plenty of miles for a good long run and to observe nature from afar. There are a few small cafes and shops in the adjacent community which will complement any necessity a small family may need while spending a quiet week at the beach.

Had a great long weekend at Tracy’s place. The location was amazing. We enjoyed walking along the beach and would have taken out the kayaks if the water wasn’t so choppy. The place has everything you could possibly want for a beach vacation and the kitchen was well supplied for cooking. We were kept inside by the weather most of the time but the house had plenty of games and the hot tub was covered so we could still utilize that. Tracy was also quick to respond if I had a question. Overall a great experience and would return!

My family enjoyed their stay. Wonderful barn home with great rustic accents and charm.

This is an amazing home to rent. It is peaceful and so scenic! The house accommodated six adults easily. The house was spotless and well appointed. All amenities and water toys were made very accessible. Overall, it is an amazing value if you are staying anywhere in the area!!
