Perfect for river or shallow water fishing, kayaking and bird watching. Less than a mile to intracostal canal and public boat ramp. Many native and migratory birds can be seen throughout the year and with the San Bernard Wildlife Refuge hosting their annual Migration Celebration it's perfect for bird watchers of all ages.

The Mulberry House Matagorda

The Mulberry House is centrally located townsite Matagorda, just a minute drive to the harbor, local shopping, small grocery store, excellent fishing and great food. This is a simple cottage that provides a full kitchen, washer and dryer and lots of sleeping area. We have most everything you could need for an at-home feel on your vacation. (Pets may be welcomed on a case-by-case basis. Please note there is a $50 per pet fee.) Come play with us in Matagorda!

You can even walk over to Matagorda Nature Park for a game of mini-golf or beach rentals! This is a second-row house. Beach access is available by walking the dune trails, through the Matagorda Nature Park or the Beach Public Access.
