Welcome to the Airy Aerie: an avian themed townhome in the heart of the Galena Territory. Our space has been carefully curated to reflect the diversity of birds you will find in the natural surroundings of the area. There are two ensuite bedrooms and a full kitchen featuring granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There is a loft space upstairs where a rollout twin bed can be set up. Our home can accommodate a maximum of 6 overnight guests (assuming 1 person on the twin rollout bed).

The dark sky provides excellent stargazing. Kitchen features full-sized refrigerator, cooking utensils and a variety of spices. Spacious bathroom with a waterfall-style shower. Owners are next door. River and marina short block away within walking distance. Grocery store half a block away within walking distance. Downtown less than a mile. Galena about half hour. Iowa 5 min away and casino in Iowa 20-25 min. Palisades State Park 5 min away. This is a cozy cottage with use of deck and grill, and full amenities to cook in house if you like. Hamilton Goebel House

This house is a historic home that was built in 1833 on land owned by Jamison Hamilton, the founder of Darlington. It is not known if he actually lived in the house,but could be assumed. During your stay you will find bits of history and pictures that have been gathered along the way.It has all the comforts of home. A beautiful four bedroom home that has been completely renovated to reflect the old and new times. This home was on the list to be torn down by the city.
