I booked this beautiful home after my first reservation and host cancelled on me due to the storms. Well, I can say… we are so happy with our stay. It was exactly as described and even better than expected. April really is a one of a kind host, so good that I had to take notes for my own Air bnb adventure. She thought of everything! I’ve never had a better stocked kitchen. We always cook and make a big meal and we sure did not want for anything. We were even greeted with a local baked good and extra sheets and blankets for the dogs. These hosts were the best I’ve had in Michigan, if not the whole country. I’m thankful for people who truly consider someone’s stay and thinks of it all. Thank you again to the hosts. The Cabin was spotless and one of my favorite features was the deer lights.

Tressia was a great host who was quick to communicate, proactive and helpful. When the cleaning was completed she reached out immediately to let us check in early. We were also allowed to have a later check out since the availability worked out. The residence was larger than expected and comfortably accommodated our group of 7. We easily could have had more people. The residence was clean and had all the amenities we needed to make meals. The beds were comfortable and warm. The decor is a 90s feel and could be updated but matches the charm of Northern Michigan. The condo above can be noisy with hearing footsteps so light sleepers beware or plan to sleep on the ground floor instead. Otherwise it was a fantastic experience and the location right on the slopes was the best I've had in skiing in Michigan. We would stay again!

Absolutely loved the location of this rental! It was like a 3 minute walk over to the yellow chair. So, so easy! The condo is also fully stocked with anything you might need for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is decorated super cute, was clean and very accommodating. We would stay here again for another ski trip.

Even with cold, rainy weather, we still had the best weekend staying here! The cabin is so cozy with everything we needed, we felt right at home. Being right in the water was fantastic, especially enjoying the view from the hot tub on the colder days. If you're in the area I would highly recommend staying here!

This location was perfect for our winter get away. Check in was easy, the house was clean and ready for us to enjoy time with our family. We were a group of 8 people, four adults and four children. there was space for all of us to spread out and enjoy time inside as well as outdoors. Beds were extremely comfortable! The cabin was located close to many activities such as shopping in Gaylord and snowtubing at Boyne Mountain. Andreia was helpful in providing suggestions for things to do. our group enjoyed using the club house pool as well. overall our stay was perfect. I would absolutely book this same cabin again for another family vacation.

Close to main hotel/ restaurants and bar. About a 10 minute drive to ski hills. Parking was tight. Large place for the price and size we needed

Second time staying at Roberts place. It was perfect the first time and perfect the second time. Well laid out condo, with many thoughtful amenities. Parking is great too.....right next to the door. We will be back for sure!

When going skiing, leave ski's in vehicle overnight. Since room is on 3rd floor and the room isn’t that large . But it's great for ski in and ski out to stay

We had a wonderful stay with our dog and two young kids. Beautiful location, full of amenities, and very comfortable. Shawn was very responsive, helpful, and had great recommendations. Highly recommend!

Probably the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. John and his wife were kind and quick to respond to our questions. While they live on the property, we did not see them at all during our stay. The water front makes it extremely enjoyable and the lake is quiet. They checked in with us and always made sure we had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back to this rental, hopefully for longer next time!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Eric’s place! It was a mild weekend for Michigan winter, and we enjoyed cross country skiing at the nearby XC Headquarters and a delicious dinner at the Cut River Grille. The living room was comfy for a game night with our travel companions. Eric was easy to contact and the place was a perfect cozy cottage for our weekend! The little touches for hospitality, like having the driveway plowed/salted, coffee filters, extra new toothbrushes, and extra blankets were greatly appreciated. Looking forward to our next trip up north!

Wow.. what an amazing experience, between the host and the property 10/10! Very proactive and professional host, beautiful, cozy, and welcoming Airbnb! A week stay turned into a month stay and lucky for us it was an off season and the host was able to accommodate as needed be! Between the lake view every morning and just in general beautiful property I would highly recommend booking here. Thank you Jeremy for an amazing stay and for just being a great host.

Craig’s place was everything we have been looking for! We have 2 rescue dogs who have a hard time being around other dogs. We really wanted a place where they could be free to be themselves out in nature. Craig’s place was very private, with a big property. We went for some lovely walks on the trail, and also explored some locations nearby with great river walks. I have to say that Craig’s place was so welcoming and comfortable. The old cabin feel, the wood burning fire, the dvd selection. We just loved being a bit cut off from the world (but still had a bit of signal.) Craig is so helpful and accommodating. The cabin has everything you need, extra blankets, a full kitchen, fire wood ready, games. Just show up with your clothes (and food) and you will be set! We were just a couple, but there are lots of beds for more guests to stay. We hope to return with some friends in the future and experience everything the cabin has to offer in different seasons! This is the second time we've stayed here, because we love it here. The whole vibe of this really lovely, 2-bedroom cabin is cozy, friendly, Up-Northy, and comfortable, inside and out. It has an amazing view of Spider Lake and a boat if you want to rent it for extra. Perfect for 2 or 4 people and dog friends if you have any. We definitely would rent again!

We have stayed here multiple times in the winter season and love it. So cozy and has everything you need for a great stay. Alyssa is always so fast at responding and is a wonderful host every time! We love her cabin due to the size and location, it’s perfect for us.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was very nice, clean, and exactly what we were looking for — peaceful, quiet, and secluded. The view over the river was beautiful, and although it wasn’t easy to access the river for fishing, our boys loved the adventure of it. There are also some great stores and a cozy coffee shop about 15 minutes away, which made it easy to enjoy a few outings. Overall, it was a perfect getaway, and we would definitely love to come back!

Loved this little gem - very homey. The view of the lake was wonderful and the neighborhood quiet and cozy. Lots of games to pass the time. Kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. The laundry was super handy with our grandkids. Would love to return in the summer - hot tub was a treat in the spring cool weather!

Brian’s home away from home is cozy and just far enough away From the busy city. It is spacious and accommodates several people. It is close to fishing, kayaking, and trails. He even allowed our treasured dog to come with us which saved us the trouble of boarding our dog. If you want a place that brings you to nature’s corner this home will fulfill that.

This is our third time staying and we plan to return next year! We are a group of 8 adults and Tressia's place is spacious enough to accommodate us comfortably. It is always clean and communication with the host is great. Location is the best on the mountain.

Connie's place is a lovely space for 1-2 people. Plenty of room to get around the condo and everything was up to date. The decor was very lovely providing a sense of peace and calm. I enjoyed the nature surroundings as well. Thank you Connie.

We had three generations staying and the size of the place and ability to spread out made it very comfortable for all to have their own spaces, especially the kids. The kitchen/dining allows for prepping/cooking/eating with space to spare. The view on the course is lovely and the deck and fire pit are a great way to take it in. We took advantage of the indoor & outdoor pool as well as the private beach on Lake Bellaire. Golfed the Summit, hit at the range and played kickball golf! I recommend Torch Lake Pontoon for a day trip on that beautiful lake. So much available in the resort and surrounding area to do - a great place for a family vacation.

This is the second time we have stayed here and it was just as amazing as the first time. Great communication by the hosts and a beautiful home with all of the amenities. The location itself is private, beautiful and close to so many fun local attractions. We are so thankful we found this place and we are already excited to stay here again. My 4 kids, husband and I have been coming to Shanty creek resorts for over 10 years. This is the first time we stayed somewhere other than the resort hotels. We enjoyed we were able to bring our dog on this trip, we had a kitchenette, and we did more in the area because we had to drive ourselves. This gave us a chance to explore and save more money. By staying in a place more reasonable than the hotel and we were able to cook ourselves and didn't have the added expense of a dog sitter. 4girls sharing one bathroom worked out better than I thought. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you The Ramsey family
