I had a magic few days at Lori and Mike's. I drive a VW passat and I found the drive up the mountain to be non-challenging and even very fun by the end. The hosts are cool and easy to get along with. A+ doggo. Hot tub was great. Pool was fun. I usually stay in SF when I'm in the Bay Area. This was much more lovely and relaxing, with SF close enough that going in for dinner or a show felt like it wasn't a big deal. 100% would recommend this place. I brought my cat and had my lady friend with me for a night. Everyone loved it.

Kathy and Jim's place was exactly as pictured. My husband and I enjoyed the Hawaiian theme, and we really loved spending time in the hot tub on chilly nights. There were so many nice touches - a welcome bottle of wine, coffee, cheese, breakfast items - and the cottage is well-stocked with anything you might need. You're an easy Uber ride away from wineries and the main square. Though the square is walkable if you feel up for approx a mile long walk. We wouldn't hesitate to book again!!

Terrific towels, linens and bed. Well appointed - everything you need. Our lab appreciated the fantastic yard. We will be back.

Our stay at the Quail House was everything we wanted and so much more. A truly magical place. Judith was also an incredible host and a pleasure to get to know.

If you are visiting Fairfax then this place is the quintessential Fairfax place! At the end of a road with huge redwoods all around. The host is quick to answer your questions and is very responsive. The Queen bed is incredibly comfortable and the skylights over the couch is beautiful! We were incredibly relaxed and will stay here next time we are in town.

We love this place. We have stayed here about six times in the last few years and that says it all!

My spouse & I wanted to celebrate our anniversary weekend in a peaceful setting. Jill’s place, nestled in an alley of beautiful sycamore trees, gave us everything we needed. From mindfulness to easy trips to tourist attractions, we were able to get all the deals done. Moss Hill Cottage became a vehicle to create new memories for us. We also appreciate Jill’s thoughtfulness of putting a bottle of wine out for us. Although, we are teetotalers, we definitely see her care for the guests. Jill’s back patio takes you to a state of zen - the calming breeze, the sound of water gushing through the creek and chirping of the birds. Moss Hill cottage is walking distance to the famous Le Marais Bakery & Mill valley’s iconic Lumber yard where you could sip a cup of coffee, have crepes for breakfast and window shop local boutique shops. We visited Sausalito during our stay and took public transport. The bus stop was within walking range from Jill’s place. Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10.

Had a quick trip. Great place for an overnight stay. Or longer. I had everything I needed and more. Peaceful and quiet. Super clean and comfortable. Andrea is a great host. Communicates quickly.

Cozy apartment with immaculate and comfortable living space--perfect for a couple. Bonus is the beautifully landscaped enclosed backyard space with a courtyard in front of the apartment. The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped and fully functional. Short walk to local restaurants and shopping. Mary Lee was a friendly, flexible and responsive host, who even before we booked went out of her way to clock the distance between the apartment and our son's home which was much appreciated. Great place, great host, great experience--highly recommend!.

Really nice ADU that is well-appointed. Not big, but very comfortable with great finishes. Bed was very comfortable too. Definitely recommend for a single person or couple.

This place was so beautiful, the pictures didn’t do it justice. Perfect location close enough to restaurants, and lil shops!! Just away enough out of the city, but not to far out. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice cozy easy place to get to. Also my wife’s 50th birthday and I asked him to do something special for her birthday and he put out a birthday banner and a bottle of champagne!!

I just returned from a short stay in Fairfax and Barry's place was very sweet and cozy. As a long-term resident of Fairfax, it was a great setup overall, with walking distance to town, a warm welcome, everything pristinely clean. I didn't spend time there besides sleeping, so I had everything I needed. There is a beautiful outdoor patio that is great for sunny weather. Guests should know that they need to climb up and down a ladder to the sleeping nook, which is cozy but small. It worked for me fine, but important to note. I would definitely stay again.

I had a truly lovely 4-night stay at this cozy cottage in Petaluma. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. Glenn and Gamin went above and beyond to make me feel at home. They shared thoughtful local recommendations and a delicious breakfast. I also had the pleasure of relaxing their beautifully restored barn and backyard. It was peaceful and exactly what I wanted from my trip. The cottage itself is full of charm. Comfortable, well-equipped, and perfect for anyone who appreciates a home with character. I had everything I needed and more. This is a must-stay if you're visiting the area. I can’t wait to come back!

Caroline is kind, helpful and responsive. She made great recommendations. Her property is beautiful, clean and peaceful. It was perfect for what I needed, and we will be returning in the near future. She also went above and beyond after I accidentally left one of my belongings.

We had such a great time at the treehouse! The view is amazing and it had everything we needed. The drinking water was so such a nice touch and we loved having a lot of streaming options! You will find a few spiders to squash, but it's expected in the location. Great getaway if you are looking to hike or bike.

James & Laurie are the best! Warm, friendly, extremely helpful. Their place was clean, comfortable, fully equipped, private & quiet. Loved hearing the owls in the nearby woods at night (not too noisy). Highly recommend, would stay here again.

A great place to stay and extremely comfortable and clean, with all the amenities you could need - the listing should be clearer that this place is only a one bedroom - the second bed is in the living/dining/kitchen area so works for a family (like ours) but not if you were sharing with another couple. Other than that the place was great!

Very clean and pleasant spot near downtown, with a private patio. The unit is above garages (so you don't hear anyone downstairs). Comfy bed. Well-equipped kitchen. It's tucked back from the street, but from the bedroom you can hear a little bit of the E. Washington traffic (less than a block away). We'd stay here again.

Nice and quiet spaces. I did not realize that the 2nd bedroom was a standalone building. But everything worked out fine.

This lovely, cozy apartment is in a quiet neighborhood and convenient to downtown. We love staying here when we visit Petaluma. Carole is an excellent host.

Amazing stay at this cozy cabin by the sea. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and listening to the sound of waves. The place is incredibly well-stocked with everything we needed — from kitchen supplies to dog blankets and groceries. Thank you!

We stayed at Matthew's place for 2 weeks and had a great stay. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marin! The location is incredibly convenient—right off the highway in central Marin—making it easy to explore the area. The house felt spacious for our family of 4 and everyone had enough room to work & relax. The kitchen was fully stocked and both the bedrooms & bathrooms were clean and comfortable. It's a well-maintained home so we had no complaints. Matthew and Tim were always available if we had questions and we highly recommend their house to anyone!
