A great stay at this lovely, cozy home—yet again! Already looking forward to returning in July. You’ll find it all here: It’s quiet, with all the amenities you need (and nothing you don’t), the pretty water views, and a location that provides access to good restaurants and the beautiful Acadia National Park.

My husband, dog, and I stayed at Robert's lovely farmhouse with our three kids for several days to enjoy Acadia and MDI at the tail-end of the off-season. Our hosts were easy to reach, personable, responsive, and we very much enjoyed our time while feeling quite at home. The property is as pictured, all beds were comfortable, kitchen well-stocked, and helpful suggestions and recommendations were provided. We found ourselves close to several lovely trails of various lengths and difficulty levels, with something for everyone (ages 4 to 40). The home is close to Bar Harbor, but our family also enjoyed just spending time together by the fire pit or grilling in the backyard. Good deal and great hosts!

I had a truly wonderful experience at this property. The home itself was absolutely beautiful, tastefully designed, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. What truly set it apart, though, was the peaceful environment. Surrounded by nature and tranquility, it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Such a cute little house, beautiful back porch for sunbathing & reading on, really clean & tidy, has everything you would want or need, just round the corner from the supermarket & within easy drive of Bangor. I wish that we could have stayed longer

Beautiful location, accommodating host and very responsive and flexible. The place is a hidden gem right next to the lake. It is in a very secluded setting, definitely worth it.

We stayed at Sabrina's place for 2 nights while visiting Acadia. The property is very private and quiet. it had a view of the cove right behind the house. We enjoyed going out there to see the sunrise. The house is very clean and organized. It had everything we needed for out stay. I would recommend this if your looking for a place away from the crowds of Acadia National Park.

We loved our stay at the guesthouse! We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of space and it was pretty magical having the beautiful grounds to ourselves on the day the brewery was closed. Except of course for Dizzy, who provided ample comic relief throughout our stay! Not unexpected for the area, but we did need to be super vigilant about ticks - they were out in force even in April. Otherwise we absolutely recommend staying here.

My friends and I loved this Airbnb. We brought our dog and he also loved it! The firepit outside was a huge plus. It was clean and comfortable. There were games available to play and a streaming TV. The kitchen was spacious and it was a good size for 5-6 people.

Ryan’s place was just as advertised. It’s was centrally located within walking distance to stores and restaurants within a quiet neighborhood. The home had all one would need to be comfortable. Additionally there was a nice outdoor fire pit and a hot tub. I would recommend Ryan’s place.

This is everything you could ask for and more. Shops and downtown life are within 30 minutes and you get the peace and quiet of a getaway without needing to go anywhere if you don’t want to. The hosts were great and the town is quaint. I highly recommend to any family who wants to relax, unwind, and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

A beautiful, historical home. Walkable location- easy to get to restaurants and shopping. The home has plenty of room for a large group of people! The home is well decorated, well thought out- including labels everywhere so you can find what you need. The rooms and beds were cozy. My kids enjoyed a game of hide and seek in this massive place! The kitchen was a dream to cook in! Cale was an amazing host- super responsive, so helpful and kind! Would definitely stay again!

What a cute cottage with absolutely everything one would need Killer view

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

BEAUTIFUL Home!! Tons of space to relax and spread out with our family! The beds were very comfortable! We really appreciated all of the bathrooms for our group! The kitchen was huge and so handy for preparing meals! I absolutely loved the style and atmosphere of this wonderful home! We also loved being able to bring our dogs!! We had a lovely time and we would most definitely come back!!! 🥰

This lovely apartment directly overlooking the park in downtown Bar Harbor was the perfect place for our family. With grandparents, parents, two small children, and a chihuahua, we had room to spread out, sleep comfortably, walk to the beach and the park, shop, and eat wonderful food and ice cream. I would want others to know that the stairs up to the apartment are steep, a tiny bit tricky for the senior with bad knees and the toddlers with short legs. The apartment has a Smart TV, which wasn't really watchable for us. If they had cable it would have been just perfect! Overall, this place was in a dream location and afforded all of us a chance to relax and enjoy the gorgeous fall weekend in Maine.

Fantastic spot. The cabin is so well equipped and squeaky clean. Maggie has thought of everything! Walkable to town in minutes and private. There are even glimpses of the sparkling ocean. 5 stars!

Our family and I had a wonderful stay at Jackies, we are all originally from maine, and her home gives you everything great about maine. We really felt at home, it snowed christmas eve which made it even more beautiful ( The driveway was plowed out early as well). I brought a small christmas tree with us on our trip up, and when we walked in, the place was decorated for christmas, which was just amazing and so thoughtful. We definitly plan on staying again, the next time we are back in maine. Thank you again Jackie!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Samantha's place in Cushing. To say that she is "very responsive" would be an understatement. She typically responded within 10 minutes no matter what my question was. She lives a short distance away which really helped facilitate things. We had a minor issue with the Internet which required communication with the service provider, but she coordinated everything and resolved it right away. The house is totally charming - old, a bit creaky and adorable - and well maintained (no issues there). We imagined how great it would be to visit in wintertime and snuggle up to a roaring fire. They have an expansive yard with gardens great for a short evening stroll. Forest habitat behind the property was great for bird watching. The area is absolutely beautiful - quintissential coastal Maine. The Olson House (local attraction) is a few minutes drive from the house. The grounds have a walking trail along the water with fantastic views of the coast.

Staying at Paul and Shankari’s retreat home was lovely. There was plenty of space for all of us (about 14 people) and the hosts left us great instructions and amenities.

First time stayer at Amy’s and WOW was it clean! A pet friendly place is my kinda place but walking through the door you get the beautiful aromas of cozy home scents and pristine cleanliness ✨ it was super cozy, a huge bathroom well stocked of towels, and two cozy beds. ROKU TV was a huge plus to relax to after long days hiking. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots/pans, appliances and a few spices. The best part about the place was the location- either direction you choose to take you pass lakes and mountains with beautiful sunsets or acres amongst acres of beautiful farm land and horses. It was approx 55min from Acadia but a beautiful drive there as well. Overall it was well worth every penny and we will be future returners.

Brenda's cabins are an excellent option for a visit to the Maine lakes region. We just love the fall colors around the cabins and there are nice trails for walks right on the property. Everything you'd need is right in the cabin and the location is just a 20 minute drive to Dover-Foxcroft and the beautiful Peaks-Kenny State Park and Moosehead Lake is under an hour. A day trip to Acadia is possible too.

The apartment was well appointed (well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower), clean, and very convenient to where I needed to be (Colby College). There were some issues I encountered with difficulty regulating the heating system and hot water never being really hot (but warm enough to shower). Lori was responsive about all of it & I found workarounds while I was there and my stay overall was comfortable. Lori expressed that they would check on these for future guests & I am sure she will as she & her team seem quite on top of things.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. Sitting on the deck off the back looking at the beautiful setting was very peaceful and tranquil.
