It was like visiting your favorite aunt's house. Her breakfast was absolutely delicious served in the lovely surrounds of gentle intentional beauty of the woods...hummingbirds and comfort, nature and calm. Having homemade cookies upon our arrival felt so homey and welcoming at the end of our day. The place was meticulous inside and out and we thoroughly enjoyed lovely conversation with Peggy (though she would have simply welcomed us and disappeared if we had wanted privacy). We appreciated her honesty, her caring hosting manner, and our every need was met without asking at this terrific place. We initially thought we might need to sleep in separate bunks, but both fit comfortably in a bottom bunk bed. Everything was truly just right at Peggy's place-a wonderful start to our time in Western NC.

Just look for a white gravel driveway directly across from highlands smokehouse, which by the way we thoroughly enjoyed. Hop, skip and jump (or drive) to town. Loved Missy’s personal touches like the art, textured walls, huge tv, overall decor, record player and fire areas and top notch appliances (that we didn’t use due to all the great and delicious local food places). Bed was as serene as the pictures. Living room was so comfy. Great to watch some sports or a movie. Evenings are very quiet. Nice shower with really hot water. Lovely outdoor sitting areas with sturdy top notch choices. Cute upstairs bedroom with gray windows and nook bed. Only >2 miles to dry falls which is spectacular. Lovely stay.

The house was exactly as pictured, had an easy check-in/check-out process. The host was attentive and reached out to make themselves available. The location of the house was away from downtown Franklin, but a short drive away, about 15 mins. The area was secluded, on a very quiet street. The rushing river sounds were immensely relaxing. Finding the house was easy using GPS. Parking was easy, and to get into the home, it was a short flight of stairs. There's a house on one side, with a very loud barking dog, and while we didn't mind it too much, it was barking the whole time we were there. The house is equipped with pretty much anything you need for a few days. It's super cozy. While the temperature dropped under 20 degrees F, the house was toasty. It has great natural light as well, and river views from every room. We enjoyed the river, fire pit, boardgames, Netflix, and the house as a whole, really. The septic water system did take getting used to. We look forward to returning

We had a great stay over Labor Day weekend. The home is very secluded with amazing views of the lake. Lisa communicated with us the entire time, providing a lot of information about the house and things to do in the surrounding area. Definitely recommend and hope to be back

Highly recommend, home was orgainzed and clean. Cell service is hit or miss depending on your carrier but the wifi at the home works great. Home is private and stores are 15 minutes away in case you need to run into town. Hosts were great and understanding, would return. Thank you.

The property n host were amazing. It is quiet, secluded & deep in the woods with a million dollar view - exactly what we wanted. We got there late after dark and it was challenging navigating somewhere new for the first time. GPS/WiFi is spotty until you get to the house so make sure u load directions before leaving the city with a cell signal. This can easily be overlooked when searching several properties on the Air B&B - 1) this rental is on the first floor, pass through the Ground-level second floor porch and go down the back steps - and 2) the house has everything you’d ever need except for an oven/stove (if you planned on cooking). Cathy has done a wonderful job decorating - and the homemade loaf of pumpkin bread makes it one of a kind rental. Oh and finally, we bought some bird food at the store and put it on the top of the deck railing - the colorful birds came non-stop and fully entertained my mother-in-law while sitting out on the back deck.

This was an awesome place to stay. We had a great time, and it was an excellent location.

This is a lovely cabin that feels private and remote, nestled on several natural, private acres, even though it’s only about 10 mins out of town. Had everything on site that the listing showed. Some ice was ready for us in the freezer, but do suggest bringing ice with you because there is not an ice maker (wasn’t an issue). The photos do not do the porch view justice! The view from sunrise to sunset is stunning from the porch (and hot tub). Kitchen and bath had everything we needed. Host was very nice and responsive. We enjoyed the sweet guest gift they left on the counter for us.

Beautiful home with amazing views. The FIRST kitchen I have seen fully furnished with cooking utensils, plates and cups for everyone, not just the bare minimum. Big plus on kitchen supplies. very clean and roomy, the balconies have absolutely amazing views. Would stay again when we return.
