Such a lovely place! We had a great weekend, and the whole area is especially beautiful in the fall. Sharon and Butch were kind, accommodating, and responsive. We’re looking forward to staying again soon!

better than we could have imagined! absolutely beautiful surroundings. The other cabins and main house are pretty close together physically but we never saw anyone-still felt private and the views/surroundings are so beautiful that you feel in your own world, an immersive place. We really liked the decor, much more soul than the average cabin you might find on airbnb, and clearly the hosts have an eye for art and history. There were two times we encountered dogs unexpectedly and without any owner in sight, but they were very friendly dogs and no trouble-just unexpected. This would be a fantastic intimate wedding location!! Had a wonderful time and will be returning in hotter months to use the absolutely beautiful pool area.. thanks for a lovely stay.

We had a relaxing stay with our doggies. it's a cute and cozy cottage. Kim was gracious and responsive. It's a lovely property. I slept in the downstairs bedroom with the doggies, which worked out because they couldn't climb the stairs and I'm scared of heights. I'm addition to the smart TV, the cottage is stocked with a great selection of movies.

This was hands down the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever head. Our family of 5 (kids ages 4, 9, 11) had the best time! The property is absolutely beautiful, and the hosts couldn’t have been more kind or accommodating. The best advice I could give to prospective renters: show up early! If you’re only there one day, don’t miss the daylight time to hike the property, fish in the ponds, greet the animals or take a ride on the zip line! We are already talking about when we’ll make our next trip!

This cottage was everything we hoped for from the cottage itself, the grounds and the beautiful horses. Best part was being able to pet and feed the horses. Thank you Louis for a memorable stay.

We are absolutely OBSESSED with this place. The silo was everything we imagined and more. The farm animals are literally a few feet away from the front door and gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. From riding several miles of bike trails to fishing and boating in the pond, there was never a bored moment. The owners Ashleigh and Mike were super nice and made us feel right at home. This was definitely one of our top spots we’ve stayed at and can’t wait to return in the future!

We had an amazing experience staying at J’s place. Communication with J was seamless and quick, even when we had a late-night flat tire on our check-in day. The cabin was charming, cozy, and had everything we needed. We were fortunate to meet J and his family, and when they found out I ride horses, they graciously invited me to help out at their barn and even gave me the chance to ride one of their horses, Pete. Their hospitality and kindness were truly exceptional. We highly recommend staying at J’s property—you’ll have a fantastic time and be very well cared for!

We absolutely loved staying at this Airbnb. It is a working farm which was meant we got to visit with the goats, pigs, ducks, chickens & cows each day. We also got to walk down to their pier at Lake Anna and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We loved waking up to the farm each morning and looking around from the balcony. The nights were so clear we could see the stars perfectly. Ben gave us a tour of the property when we arrived, gave us some homemade salsa from their garden (very delicious!) and made us feel very welcome (even sent us alternate directions to the property when the road nearby was shut down due to an accident). We were able to host Thanksgiving with our local family very comfortably. Thank you, Ben & Nicole for being such great hosts! We definitely recommend this property!

Michelle's place was more than I expected. I have close family friends very close by and felt so fortunate that her place was avaliable so close to the holidays. It was cozy and warm and felt like being at home with my family. We ate Lunch and Cafe Maidens. Wanted to visit the Cider house but ran out of time. But we will be back soon. This was exactly as described, which was exceptionally special experience. Thank you again and again.

After years of over scheduled vacations, we decided to select a laid back, play it by ear vacation. This may be the first vacation that’s we’ve had that we don’t feel like we need another week to recoup! We opted to stay home every other day and go somewhere every other day. The house was beautiful and the only thing we didn’t have was local TV which turned out to be the best thing for relaxing. Thank you David and Norma for opening your beautiful home to us!

Had a great stay at Shenandoah Crossing- Chris was very communicative and helpful.

Jeff and Denise made us feel completely at home! They provided all the check-in details ahead of time and even accommodated an early arrival. The property is stunning, with a picturesque driveway lined by mature cedar trees. The cottage, situated by the pool and jacuzzi, is simply charming. Inside, it was beautifully decorated, and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and chocolates. Everything felt fresh and new, as the unit has been recently renovated, and the beds were incredibly comfortable with soft linens and plenty of pillows. The kitchen was impressively stocked, and they even left us filtered water in the fridge. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return! Although we were just a short drive from UVA where we were visiting our daughter, the peaceful surroundings made it feel like a true getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at the home and our son was fishing off the dock everyday for ours. Thank you for a great trip

We had never been in a farmhouse before, so this was a beautiful and exciting experience for my family. The house is very spacious and we spent a relaxing and comfortable week there, enjoying the incredibly peaceful surroundings. Elizabeth is a very responsive host and always provided precise answers to our questions. The only downside was that we were hoping to see some farm animals (cows) on or near the property for the children in our group, as some pictures had shown, but that was not the case. The barn was a nice place for my grandchild, though. Thanks, Elizabeth!
