Not a country cottage so no low ceilings, dark rooms and draughts..just well insulated and thoughtfully designed cabin with large windows to take advantage of the views. Definitely not glamping either as full facilities. Not located on a picture postcard street, just in large garden at end of quiet cul de sac but with main road running behind cabin. No struggle to find parking as ample space in own courtyard. Priced so I can afford to include all the little extras that guests value.

Long Compton lies at the northern edge of the Cotswold escarpment in South Warwickshire. It nestles in the valley of a tributary to the river Stour. As its name suggests, it is linear in form, stretching for almost a mile along the main road with spurs of development, principally on one side. Long Compton is known for its pretty thatched cottages, warm Cotswold stone walls, ancient church with an unusual lychgate, and above all for its glorious countryside. It is within the boundary of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Beauty and much of the village is protected by conservation area status. The Village is well situated to visit local towns of historic and special interest such as Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh, Shipston-on-Stour, Startford-upon-Avon & Stow-on-the-Wold, and also to enjoy walks in the beautiful countryside including the Macmillan Way, and Shakespeare Way. Long Compton remains essentially a farming community. The countryside and landscapes are highly valued by all who are lucky enough to live here. Long Compton is a village and parish in South Warwickshire. It is part of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has many of the characteristics of a typical Cotswold village - thatched limestone cottages, medieval church, pretty hedge-rowed lanes leading out to gentle green hills. It is a lovely place to live and visit and is fortunate to be positioned within easy reach of both Oxford and Stratford upon Avon, as well as all of the well-known attractions in the Cotswolds itself - the Neolithic stone circle - the Rollright Stones - is within walking distance.
