Our stay was absolutely unforgettable! Each morning, we were greeted by kudu, wildebeest, warthogs, impala, and bushbuck right outside our doorstep—it felt like stepping into a wildlife documentary. At night, the haunting calls of lions in the distance added a sense of wild magic to the experience. The host's guidebook was incredibly helpful and led us to some truly amazing adventures—the highlight being our unforgettable visit to Kruger National Park with Kruger Pride Safaris. This place offers unbeatable value for money and an experience that’s both relaxing and exhilarating. Without a doubt, one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Very spacious, neat, clean and beautifully furnished. The host was very communicative before and after check in assisting with even the smallest details. The air conditioning works wonderfully and is an absolute necessity for the area. Whilst we didn’t need it, the back up power gave us peace of mind and is something we always look for when booking accommodation in SA. The Trellidor surrounding the patio is also a great feature. The pool was clean and well maintained and the water was the right temperature for swimming. The daily cleaning was very convenient as were the en suite bathrooms in every room.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay! The house was spotless, beautifully furnished, and even better than the photos. The location was perfect—quiet, safe, and close to everything I needed. What really made the experience stand out was the host, who was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and thoughtful throughout my stay. I couldn’t have asked for a better place or host. Highly recommended and would definitely book again!

Fine house, thoughtful and very helpful hosts. Decent kitchen and braii, good wine glasses - these are the things that matter! The wildlife visiting the deck was a treat - feeding kudu from a bucket, zebra from the hand - carefully… For those who don’t know Marloth Park, it’s a large, secure, gated estate. Walking after dark is discouraged because there’s a small risk from predators, not crime…. Two supermarkets, butchers and the pub are a minute’s drive away. Hope to make a repeat visit soon.

Carla was really such an amazing host. Everything was ready for us when we arrived. The house was impeccable with all the necessary utensils and amenities even down to having washing powder available for us to do a little laundry. It is absolutely and utterly a beautiful place to stay and will definitely be our go to whenever we visit Dullstroom again. Thank you Carla it was unforgettable.

This was our 3rd visit to Fairfarren. Always a great experience with lots of game visiting around the house. Despite the bush being lush and green the animals visited around the house many times a day. Large herd of 9 Nyala came every day. Very peaceful and quiet.

It was a pleasure for us to stay in this nice house. Everything was new and we felt like home. The pool is good for a cool down, for swimming it is too small. Nearly every morning several animals like Zebras, Giraffes and Gnus visited us directly at the terasse :-). We would come again!

What a beautiful house in a beautiful setting! I dont think the photos do it justice, it exceeded our expectations on every level. Loved, loved it. Tannie Hester was so warm and welcoming and Ruffels the dog even decided to spend the night. Thanks a million for a lovely stay.

We have just come back from spending nine unforgettable nights at Penzhorn Rest Cottage and it exceeded all of our expectations - even better than the photos! Zonja, our host, welcomed us warmly on arrival and was so accommodating to make sure we were happy throughout our stay. Her hospitality has honestly blown us away! The highlight of our stay was the daily sight and sound of the river with nightly hippo visitors which added such a magical touch to our stay, immersing us in the beauty and awe of the African bush. Whether enjoying a coffee while reading by the river or relaxing in the ‘bosbad’ every moment felt really special to us! Zonja’s meticulous eye for detail was evident in the small touches around the cottage which made us feel right at home. This is a haven for nature lovers seeking a luxurious yet authentic escape. If you decide to book this listing you won’t be disappointed! We left feeling rejuvenated and are already looking forward to returning!

Great accommodation, very centrally located in Sabie but still peaceful. The place is very clean and well-equipped, but most importantly the hosts are wonderful. I would come back anytime!

We had a really great time at Melani's place! It was such a cute little cottage in the forest. I loved that the 'living room' is outdoors, you really feel like you're relaxing in nature. We loved the braai area and firepit and the place had everything we needed. The location was great to be able to explore the Blyde dam and Hoedspruit. If you want to do the main hikes in the Blyde River Canyon just take note that they start at the top of the canyon about an hour and 15 minute drive away. Completely doable and its a breathtakingly beautiful drive but just be aware. Kampersrus is such a quaint little area, we really enjoyed our time here. I would highly recommend Melani's place and the area in general.

Thanks to Tayla & Armandt to build this Oasis close to Pilanesberg park and Manyane gate. They are very helpful and reactive. All my recommendation.

Hele fijne plek om te verblijven in marloth park. Leuke plek waar de dieren rustig om het huis scharrelen. Alles dat je nodig hebt is er en de bedden zijn lekker. Keuken is simpel, niet echt om te koken, maar dat had Jared ons vooraf verteld. De hosts zijn vooral ook erg vriendelijke en leuke mensen die je hartelijk ontvangen en wegwijs maken.

The place was spotlessly clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained! Jo-Ann was great with communication and even surprised me with birthday balloons, which made the stay extra special. Highly recommended—would definitely return!

Absolutely loved my stay at Klaus and Ridwaan's cabin. Cozy and fully-equipped cabin nestled up on a hill with beautiful views. Easy access to multiple nearby gate entrances to the park. And Ridwaan & Klaus were delightful hosts and it was a pleasure to get to meet them, made the stay even better 😊 I'd love to come back someday. Highly recommend!!

Wow! What an absolutely amazing place and such wonderful hosts. The cabin is well equipped for a self catering stay, we had a braai and fire every evening. Frans and Louis were so genuinely kind and friendly, always going out of their way to help us. Being able to walk out of the property and be in nature, giraffes, zebra and impala just there and to be able to play in the river was amazing. My daughter (nearly 8 years old) didn't want to leave and wants to return!!!

Serene and beautiful escape from the city and town. Ideal for just relaxing with a good book and resetting. Lovely nature and birds all around. Walking trial with the river only a couple of meters walk from the cabin. The road is a bit rough and the road works to get to the destination is a bit of a pain. I am sure once the road is fixed it will be an easy and smooth drive though.

Aske Bush Retreat was everything we hoped for and more! Nestled deep in nature, it offered the perfect mix of tranquility and comfort. Waking up to the sounds of birds and the fresh scent of nature. The cabin was clean, well-equipped, and beautifully designed to blend into the natural surroundings. We loved the walking trails nearby and the peaceful evenings by the fire pit under the stars. The hosts were friendly and responsive. If you're looking to disconnect and recharge, this is the place. Would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful place to stay. Private and peaceful. Amazing to watch the animals whilst having your morning coffee. Didn’t use the fire pit but I’m sure it would make for a wonderful evening sipping wine and watching the sunset.

Gerda was an incredible host! It was truly a wonderful experience staying there. They provided food for the animals and made sure we were well taken care of. The place is fully equipped with everything you might need, just bring your own groceries. We had an amazing time making pizza and relaxing around the boma fire. And the pool? Absolutely dreamy! We’ll definitely be coming back.
