Enjoy the yummiest food close by at various cafes, smokehouses, and diners.

The Ranch House at J&J Cabins

The Ranch House Cabin is a 16x24 ft. log cabin perfect for a comfortable overnight or extended stay! The Ranch House features free Wi-Fi, Roku streaming TV and air conditioning. It includes a full kitchen, a full-size refrigerator, stove/oven, convection microwave and large storage cabinets. It features one Queen-size bed and a Lazy Boy Sleeper Sofa with a Full-sized mattress. Clean, quiet, comfortable and private. Please review the House Manual, No Smoking and Pet Policy’s prior to booking.

Come and enjoy a peaceful stay in our off grid cabin. A year-round get a way destination from the busyness of life, that will enable you to relax and unwind as you enjoy spectacular views, wildlife in their natural habitat, and the soothing sound of gently flowing water in our creek. Located on our historical I Bar Ranch, along Mill Creek, sits our off-grid, custom built, timber frame cabin. This pristine location is situated within the Challis-Salmon National Forest. $20 Dog fee per Day

Heron House

Come and relax in our airy, light-filled space! Newly built in 2023, this spacious one-bedroom guest apartment is comfortably furnished, full of thoughtful touches and amenities, and well-equipped for any length of stay. It occupies the upper floor of our garage, but is fully separate with its own private entrance. It's on the corner of a quiet residential street, and is easy walking distance to Main Street's restaurants, brewpubs, shops, museum, and bakery, plus the river and wave park.

Lemhi Shoshone Cabin, Greyhouse Inn, Hot Tub

Adorable cabin located at the Greyhouse Inn property which is 7 acres in all. There are other accommodations on the property. This stand alone cabin has a Queen bed, 2 single beds in an open loft and a couch that can also sleep one. It also has a bathroom with both a tub and shower. Fully equipped kitchenette with everything you need for light cooking. There is plenty of room on the property to enjoy the outdoors and firepits are available for fireside fun. BBQ available upon request.

Canyon Wren Cottage

Take it easy at this unique, off-grid sustainable home by the Salmon river. This darling guesthouse sits on 6 acres with a separate family Strawbale home. It is a homestead farm with over 100 newly planted peach trees, bees and vegetable gardens. The cottage has solitude, stunning views and peaceful vibe. Enjoy your own patio and fire pit, walk the owners gardens. Easy boat access at nearby on forest service access points on the salmon river road. This is a private neighborhood.

Relaxing Hideaway Skylights and Huge Deck

Spacious 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit located 1 block from Main Street in Challis. "Calamity Jane's Hideaway" features an oversized deck off the entry and plenty of natural light from skylights. Amenities include a full kitchen, washer/dryer, gas stove, A/C, fiber Internet access, and more. Just half a mile from US-93, this is the perfect home base to enjoy the Idaho countryside, rivers and mountains, visiting family and friends, or just passing through Challis for an overnight stay.

1930’s Uptown House

The Uptown House is the perfect home base and Challis is a great starting point to explore the many sites of the Salmon Challis NF, fish the Salmon River, or simply enjoy laid back mountain living. Located at the upper end of Main Street in old town Challis, this 1930’s store front has been converted to a spacious getaway that is close to local restaurants and bars and within minutes of groceries, gas and shopping making it easy to plan your visit.

Downtown Suite, with patio (Suite use only) 2 full size queen beds, one is a Murphy that when closed, leaves a very spacious room, or the dining table can be set up. The bathroom is X large, 2 sinks, separate shower and soakèŕ tub, and makeup table. There is a kitchenette, with its own sink, fridge/freezer, microwave, induction burner, coffee station, pots, pans, and dishes for your use. We also have an electric grill (works great) on the patio.

Copperhead Cabin

Escape to Freeman Creek. This charming 650 sq ft cabin offers all the amenities including a full kitchen and wifi. Sleeping accommodations feature a queen bed on the main floor and two twin beds and a hide a bed couch in the loft. Also enjoy the walk in tiled shower. With perfect views of Copperhead, unwind on our porch swing after a day of exploring Lemhi County. Experience the comforts of privacy from our cabin only 8 miles from Salmon.
