At this peaceful and centrally-located suite tucked behind a 1930’s home up a little hill, you will be close to everything important. Walk 1/5 of a mile to Old Town, where you may visit The Port of Siuslaw, many well known restaurants, art galleries and shops. Hwy 101 is a couple blocks away where our famous Pono Hukilau Restaurant is located. Walk a wee bit further to Exploding Whale Park and enjoy sitting on the river’s beach for a picnic or take a short drive to Heceta Beach for the day.

The Red Door Retreat is part of Our Shangra la LLC. We overlook the Circle Bar Golf course. Quiet, water features on four sides. 6 month creek flows into the North Fork of the Willamette. Tree frog pond and waterfall in the Grape arbor. We put up our own grape juice. Heated Exercise Pool with a current also enclosed to keep the pool area pleasant. A HOT SPRINGS hot tub. Multi car parking. Koi and frog pond. A Treehouse with stairs and adult swing set.

All wheel drive or four-wheel-drive required to drive the 300’ gravel driveway to the house. Or park at top. The Cottage Home was built in 1935. It is a two story home separated by a door/stairwell. The basement will NOT be utilized when guests have booked the upstairs. The upstairs is our home when not being enjoyed by guests, so the space reflects this. -Some things are new, others nicely warn, but everything will be clean & guaranteed to be peaceful. The property is situated a few feet from the coast fork of the Willamette River. Wildlife is plentiful and diverse.
