Amanda was a very responsive and helpful host. The house was just as described … private, quiet, picturesque location/views. The patio provided a beautiful view of the quiet lake where we enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and grill. The interior of the home was spacious, clean and provided plenty of beds and baths for our family group. We would definitely consider this home for a future warm weather vacation. Highly recommend!

Cute cottage and a cute town. Ended up booking during the town’s annual lake fest and very nice. Great cottage and was a bed a breakfast. Bonus although we were there for the lake so went out early the days we were there. Would book again

Cooper’s landing is always amazing stay! This was my third time staying and every single time has been accommodating to our needs in every way: from dinner reservations (and all of our indecisions), to dietary needs (vegetarian), to early morning breakfast needs and so much more. All staff members are easy to communicate with, polite and friendly.

Quaint and private location. Long gravel drive that could require four wheel drive. Beautiful screened back porch with lake view that is lovely. House very clean and tidy.

My family and I stopped here as it was halfway home on a road trip. It was so easy to get to and easy to get back on the highway too. The space was private, quiet and I jokingly told my husband I wish I had an excuse to come back because one night didn’t feel like enough. Awesome patio, comfy couch and the cutest decor. Seriously felt like home… maybe a little better.

Pros: The location is great. Being on a peninsula makes it feel much more private. Very little activity or noise from other houses, which was great. The views from the sunroom and porch were fantastic and the trees in the yard provide good shade. The dock was nice and easy to access. Plenty of seating indoors and out. The bathrooms and linens were clean and seemed sanitary. In general, the place felt like a family home, in a good way. Cons: The rugs were not clean. The upholstered furniture is old and has signs of wear. Small things just didn't work right (the front storm door closing spring was not adjusted right, the primary bath door didn't close right, missing TV remote, some lamps didn't have bulbs or didn't work, SUP board full of water and had to be drained). Also, you have to take your own trash which is a buzzkill when checking out (dump was closed on the day we left so we had to carry bags of garbage in our car all the way home). Overall: Great place, great views, good value

A wonderful place to stay and very cozy, we hosted our son’s birthday parties there and celebrated Easter & some fishing as well. It was the perfect house we really enjoyed our selves & good family time. The bonfire setup and all the wood that was provided was the best!! Our kids rated it the BEST EASTER EVER! 💗

My whole family really really enjoyed staying at Mary's Place. Very quiet neighborhood and very nice furniture, very clean . Will stay there again. My family very close by within few minutes driving distance

Everything about the location and the home was fantastic. We throughly enjoyed our weekend get away to nature. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything anyone would need to spend a nice relaxing time. Summer was super nice, responsive and very accommodating. Lake was near by, quick drive or about 15 min walk, very peaceful in the morning. Fire pit outside in the evening was incredible. Overall great place to get away into the nature. Looking forward to return!

Perfect cozy house for kids ! Boat house was amazing, with a swimmable area. Kitchen is stocked with all basic cooking equipment. Clean and quiet. Outside has a fire pit, grill, and corn hole. Will return!

The location was perfect for visiting relatives in the Weldon/Roanoke Rapids area. What really made the experience stand out was the host. She was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and helpful throughout my stay. You can tell she really cares about making her guests feel at home. From the smooth check-in process to the little personal touches around the home, everything was spot-on. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay and a wonderful host. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! It was the perfect place for our anniversary weekend getaway and also for celebrating my nephew’s 3rd birthday. The house was easy to find and access, and the host went above and beyond by putting up a few birthday decorations and even leaving a sweet little gift for the birthday boy—such a thoughtful touch! The home was very clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything you could need for a short or long stay. It has two spacious bedrooms with easy access to the living room, bathroom, and kitchen. The views of the lake were absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed having access to the dock—it was great for swimming, fishing, and just relaxing by the water. The host was very helpful, provided clear instructions, and gave us great recommendations for local dining and activities. Communication was quick and friendly. We felt right at home and would absolutely stay here again when we’re back in the area!

My partner and I had the most relaxing weekend getaway at this beautiful A-frame cabin! The setting is peaceful and surrounded by trees, which made it feel like a true escape from the hustle and bustle. The cabin itself is gorgeous—thoughtfully designed, clean, and cozy, with lovely touches that made it feel like home. One of our favorite parts of the stay was spending time at the private dock on the nearby lake. It was such a peaceful spot to sit, talk, and take in the scenery—especially in the morning with our coffee! The quiet, natural surroundings made everything feel calm and restorative. The host was wonderful: kind, responsive, and made everything seamless from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a restful retreat. We’d absolutely love to return!
