The Vestry, St. Columbas Church

We have a quirky vestry, suitable for 2 adults or small family, attached to a converted church on Whiting Bay seafront. The Vestry has recently been converted to a high standard. It has a super kingsize bed plus a sofa bed in the living room/kitchen area. TV, cooker, fridge, kettle and toaster. Shower room/toilet. Views from the living room look out onto the sea and it's a stones throw away from the beach. Separate entrance with garden. Free parking. Bedlinen and towels provided. Free wifi.

Ideal couples base for exploring the Island

No 1 Shedock Cottage has been completely renovated inside and out, originally a shepherds cottage it is now a very modern living space. The entrance leads into the living room with a kitchen extension to the rear this follows onto a private sitting area outside at the back of the cottage. The bedroom has a double bed with fitted wardrobe. There is a bath and shower in the bathroom next to the bedroom. Heating throughout the cottage is electric with flame effect fire in the living room.

Our cottage is a great place to escape from the many stresses of everyday life, have a digital detox ( no wifi by choice) whilst offering a perfect base from which to discover Arran. Breathe in the cool, clean air of the tranquil, rewilded space around Shepherd's Cottage on the stunning Isle of Arran. Sitting on the edge of the mystical and atmospheric Machrie Moor, this part of the island is a naturalist's paradise with seals, dolphins, otters, and birds of prey to be seen. Wild swim in nearby Machrie Bay (10 minutes drive) or in the pools of the Machrie Water which flows nearby. A bus service (322) passes the end of our road, 15 minutes walk away.
