Great Location & Modern Apartment – Ideal for Short Stays We stayed at YMK Oshiage 5B during our trip to Osaka and had a very pleasant experience. The apartment is relatively new, with modern and well-maintained fittings. Everything was clean, tidy, and functional, which made our stay comfortable. One of the biggest advantages is the location—just a short walk from Osaka Umeda Station. It made getting around the city incredibly convenient, especially for sightseeing and day trips. The only minor downside was the size of the apartment. It’s quite compact and doesn’t have dedicated space for a wardrobe or dresser, which might be a bit limiting for longer stays or if you have a lot of luggage. That said, for a few nights, it worked just fine. Overall, it's a solid choice for travelers who value convenience and cleanliness in a central location.

We had a great time at Taiyo’s apartment. The location is exceptional for the price. We were able to visit many tourist attractions by foot. Taiyo and his mother are lovely hosts. Thank you for being so flexible on our date change and arrival time, we greatly appreciated it.

Lovely place well located in Osaka. Great local bakery in the r market and a 7-11 just around the corner. Nice little touches in the property and good sized bedrooms and kitchen/lounge area. Would highly recommend!

Cons- 1. You have to climb 1 or 2 floors of stairs, depending on which floor you are allocated. It is majorly a one time effort of picking your luggage. But given the overall struggles with luggage, this much is manageable. Pros- 1. Location -> 1. a: Located right next to metro station. ~15 min to kyoto station (10 min metro time + extra 5 min buffer for waiting/ switching trains). 1. b: Located walkable distance from major bus stops. Major bus stops to Kinkakuji are ~800m. For other spots its better to take metro. 1.c: Multiple convenience stores nearby. 1.d: Calm neighbourhood. Not noisy 2. Room-> 2.a: Very nice comfortable place, felt like home. Had everything you would want. Only the dryer was a paid add-on located at the Ground floor (that too was cheap: 100yen for 15mins) 2.b: Great Service: We made a request for a mop to the host and we had it within an hour. The stay was one of the best part of kyoto. Would highly recommend.

Sumi a été une hôte formidable. Elle nous a donné des instructions claires pour se rendre, nous attendait dehors à notre arrivée et était disponible si nous avions des questions. Le logement est spacieux, bien équipé et correspond aux photos. À quelques minutes de marche de plusieurs temples et de restaurants. Je recommande ce logement dans hésiter!

This was one of our favourite Airbnb stays. To find a 46 sq m apartment in Kyoto during sakura season is amazing! Everything was so spacious and comfortable - exactly as described and identical to the photos on the website. Easily walkable to the metro and buses for sightseeing plus it is surrounded by supermarkets, restaurants and bars for eating. It was very quiet during the night so perfect for sleeping. May is a brilliant communicator, every aspect of our stay from check in to check out was clearly shared with us. Highly recommended as an option for Kyoto.

We stayed in the Gion House Upper Level and it was a great home away from home in Kyoto. The location is perfect: the street it's on is calm and private but it is just a few minutes walk away from many great restaurants in a charming old district of Kyoto. The house maintains the aesthetic of a past era while incorporating a small modern kitchen and a tidy bathroom. There are two bedrooms, one with a comfortable western-style bed and one in Japanese style on the floor, both with nice white bedding. Curtis and team were great to work with and very helpful and responsive when needed. This is a great spot to feel like you live in Kyoto!

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans la maison de Seiko typiquement japonaise, joliment décorée, impeccablement entretenue. On s’y sent bien des que l’on ouvre la porte. De plus les échanges avec Seiko ont toujours été très cordiaux. Le quartier est magnifique et paisible et donne accès à plusieurs temples et pagode à pied. Que du bonheur ! Notre seul regret à été d’y rester peu de temps. Nous espérons avoir l’occasion d’y revenir. Merci. Seiko ! Elisabeth

We LOVED this house (my son really did not want to leave). The interior design is incredibly thoughtful and perfect for travelers. The amenities and instructions were perfect. It was easy to walk to trains, dining, and shopping. And Tony was the best host you could ask for. We are so glad we stayed here!

Very comfortable for 3 of us. It is within 15-25 mins walk to most attractions partly on narrow roads. Taxis can conveniently stop right outside the apt. The apt has easy-to-use amenities eg washer cum dryer, relaxing round bath tub, 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms, well-lit rooms on 2nd floor with comfortable floor mattresses. Little space downstairs if you have many big suitcases as stairways can be narrow to move them to second floor.

We are a group of 7 people traveling to Kyoto for the first time. This listing contains 5 different houses and the one we stayed at is the Hana house. Note the Hana house has 1 shower/tub room, and 1 toilet room but we made it work! The house has a spacious living room and was a great space for us to gather after a full day of sightseeing. There is a Lawson and Family mart that is a few minutes walk from the house. You can get to many temples and shrines by feet including the Kyomizu-dera and the shopping street, all within 20 - 30 minutes. The host was very nice and gave us great tips and information on local recommendations.

I recently stayed at Saito’s place and had a wonderful experience! The check-in process was smooth and easy, and communication with the host was prompt and helpful throughout my stay. The place was thoughtfully furnished, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect — close to one of the attraction, restaurants, and subway station, yet peaceful enough for a good night’s sleep. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area. Thank you again, Saito, for being such a great host. I would definitely love to stay here again in the future!

Perfect place to stay, very clean, very warm and great location near the stations. The samurai and other Japanese decorations were epic too. Highly recommended

This is Kyoto’s gem. A quirky, functional house that has an outdoor Onsen and Japanese Garden that lets you feel a world away from the streets outside. Smack bang in amongst busy streets backing onto quiet lanes with great places to eat and cool bars, yet a short walk to - not one, but - two subway stations( one of which has a train service that will take you all the way to Osaka) , walking distance to Nijō Palace and the Pokémon centre. Topped off with a western style supermarket, a brilliant pancake place (western style pancakes) and more convenience stores than you can believe. It’s a place designed really to sleep in because Kyoto will keep you that busy yet offer so many places to relax in.

Die schöne Unterkunft von Sakura liegt nur wenige Gehminuten vom Bahnhof Kyoto entfernt. Bus und Bahn ist also einfach zu erreichen. In der Nähe sind ein Konbini und viele Restaurants. Die Unterkunft war groß und gemütlich. Sakura hatte uns viele Handtücher zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Betten waren vollkommen in Ordnung und bequem. Die Wände waren etwas dünn und man konnte die Nachbarn hören, das hat aber nicht gestört. Wir fanden es cool wie Toilette und das Bad getrennt waren und dass es viele Kleiderbügel gab ☺️ ich empfehle diese Unterkunft sehr, wenn man mal ein bisschen traditioneller wohnen und in der Nähe des Bahnhofs sein will.

Nous somme une famille de 5 personnes dont 3 enfants et avons séjourné 5 jours à Kyoto. le logement est très spacieux et confortable. Si nous devions revenir à Kyoto je reprendrais ce prestataire. un grand merci.

Excellent location for Shin-Osaka station, literally couldn’t be closer to the East exit right accross the street. There is a family mart a couple of doors down and a few restaurants next door, we stayed because of location to Shinkansen and ability to get to Kyoto and Nara as well as to Tokyo, didn’t take long to get into centre of Osaka on metro. There is a Yamato office on the street which we used to receive our luggage from Tokyo airport and ship it back to Tokyo. Apartment equipped with all the amenities you would need for a short stay, building is safe and secure. The window was a bit of a concern for me having 2 small children, apartment was on a high floor and the window opens with a sheer drop, no safety mechanism but I think that’s probably normal for apartments like this. The communication from the host was super fast and excellent. If you are using the apartment as a base and somewhere to sleep then we definitely recommend.

Spacious apartment with comfy 2 person beds. Kitchen with facilities, and a nice living section. The bathroom was very big, with washing machine and had all needed amenities. The ground floor has a washroom with larger washing machines and dryers. Books in the lobby and a shared kitchen, all looking clean and inviting. The hotel is easy to reach from the station and within walking distance of a small convenience store, many restaurants, a huge temple complex and a Japanese garden. Busstop is around the corner to reach all major destinations in Kyoto.

La ubicación estaba super cómoda, hay un seven a unas 3 cuadras y hacíamos unos 7 min caminando a la estación, y de camino hay mini súper y una cafetería frente a la estación que estaba super rica, además el edificio es bonito y la habitación muy agradable. Lo recomiendo y volvería a hospedarme ahí!

Egy szuper helyszín, csodálatos környéken, nyugodt, kedves, rendezett. A lakás kényelmes, tágas és jól felszerelt. Szívből ajánlom bárkinek aki eltöltene pár kellemes napot kyoto városban a barátaival vagy a családjával . Köszi hogy itt lehettünk !
