This was absolutely one of the nicest Airbnbs my husband and I have stayed at. The design of Chris and Chie’s home is extremely beautiful but also practical and thoughtful. It was a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. We also had everything we needed to cook a few simple meals, and we were so grateful for the chance to do laundry. The house is on a very quiet, picturesque street in Gion but is still very conveniently located. We also greatly appreciated Chie’s suggestions for things in the area, especially the nearby grocery store. We were very sad to leave but would happily stay here again the next time we are in Kyoto. Thanks so much!

This was our first time in Japan. Japan is a wonderful vacation spot and this Airbnb was a wonderful addition to our trip. The location was great. It’s located away from the tourist spots, meaning you will not be overwhelmed by other people when are done for the day. Just locals going about their daily lives. It’s also not too far from anything so you can easily get to any attractions you really want to see. The Airbnb is set up very thoughtfully and I would love to come back to Japan and back to this Airbnb.

If you are traveling to Osaka in a large group and looking for a place to stay, this one is the place to be. You will be impressed by its ample space, cleanliness and convenience. The only issue with this place is that none of the bedrooms has been equipped with curtains, so I find it difficult to rest after the sunrise.

The Maneki Machiya staff were extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire booking process. Our unit happened to be named "Cozy" but "cozy" is the best way to describe not only the houses themselves but also the nature of staying in this quieter, calmer part of Kyoto. The rooms are laid out very smartly and charmingly; a wonderful place to come back to after a long day of temple visits and river walks.

Our family of 7 had a truly wonderful stay at Kimi’s place in Kyoto. The house was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a memorable trip. Kimi and his wife were incredibly kind and thoughtful. They even surprised us with gifts, which made our stay even more special. When we accidentally left an item behind, Kimi graciously arranged to have it delivered to us, showing such care and hospitality. Throughout our stay, communication was easy, warm, and helpful. We could really feel the heart they put into hosting, and we are so grateful for the experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kyoto. Thank you again, Kimi and Marilyn!

非常满意的一次住宿，房东沟通友善，回复及时。 住宿:和照片描述一致，打扫得很干净，白天刚起床稍微有些冷。床很软睡得很舒服。设施也较为齐全。房东提供的帮助手册十分完善。 交通:步行至地铁口的时间不算很长，前往市内几个著名景点可能需要多转次线，但在可接受范围内。 周边:在一个居民区内，晚上十分安静，不长的步行距离即可到达711。同时体验了房东推荐的几家商户，体验都不错，值得尝试。

这次的住宿体验感非常好，去环球影城只要10分钟左右，对于我们来说太便利了。 房间很干净、设施很全、厨房设施全，微波炉、冰箱等，洗衣机、洗澡间可以开暖气，如果洗澡怕冷的话，帮助很大。 还有好喝的咖啡☕️。 整个民宿有3层，楼下一间房，2楼是厨房，洗澡、看电视活动区，3楼有2间房，其中有一间有2张床铺、很适合带小孩的家庭。民宿总共有2个卫生间，一楼有一个卫生间，3楼2个房间时间也有一个卫生间。 民宿的位置很安静，房间大小也很合适，体验感极好。推荐，性价比高，2个家庭入住完全没有问题。 楼梯的话比较陡，老人，小朋友上下楼的话要注意一些。 下次还会选择这里。

Lovely traditional home very close to the Nishiki/Shijo area. Michiko was very helpful with moving the luggages and showing us the home. Would love to stay again.

Location is amazing, right next to Tennoji station and metro and also the park and zoo. Apartment is spacious and very comfortable. The complimentary cake was also a lovely touch! Highly recommended

As 2 people we found the space just enough for us both since we had a carry on and checked in luggage each. The walls of the room are a little thin so you may hear your neighbour if someone else is in the room next to you. The location is very convenient to namba station and great access to convenience stores near by to grab any quick supplies or snacks. Yoshikata was really responsive and tried their best to help us if possible. The neighbourhood is located in a popular anime and maid cafe area so there’s foot traffic in the area during the day however it gets very quiet and dark at night for your awareness. Overall a great stay if you need a spot to easy access to the trains, shopping, and eating!

3世代で3泊お世話になりました。 子供がいるためマンションでの物音でご迷惑をかけないか心配でしたが、二階（一階はガレージ）でしたのでとても気が楽になりました。 和室とベットがあるのでベットから落ちる危険がある子供は和室、膝が痛い高齢者はベットと就寝パターンが選べることは大変助かりました。 周辺には海遊館やスーパーマーケット、コンビニなどありとても快適に過ごさせていただきました。 ガレージはデリカをとめることができました。 素敵な時間をありがとうございました。

友人7人と過ごさせていただきましたが、備品、部屋数、広さ、全てが素晴らしくとても快適に過ごせました！ 食器やタオルも清潔で、洗面所が大きくトイレ3つ、シャワールームも2つあり大人数でもとても過ごしやすかったです！ またすぐ近くに24時間営業のスーパーがありとても便利でした

May was very helpful from booking to checking in and was very responsive. The apartment was spotless, clean and felt very homely. Was great location and close to everything.

A bit far from jr station ( 1 km ) but very near with bus station place very clean and comfy

Very responsive host. Lando got back to me very quickly about the various units that were available for my chosen dates. Unit is 5 min walk away from nearest train station and one stop away from Namba station. It was a great location to take day trips to Kyoto, Nara and Himeji. We were travelling with our four year old and one year old so Lando provided additional amenities such as a high chair, baby bath tub and baby bath wash. Thank you!

Maison japonaise très mignonne à Kyoto. On a beaucoup apprécié ce lieu, assez proche du métro, calme. L'accès est facile. C'est très spacieux ce qui est rare au Japon, nous étions 6 et nous sommes ravis. Tout était très propre. On recommande !

지역 이름 그대로 살기좋고, 길게 있고싶은곳 언젠가, 살거나 길게 여행을 하게되면 나가이공원 주변에서 꼭 머물고싶다는 생각이 항상 있었습니다. 휴직을 하고, 드디어 용기를내서 왔네요. 운이 좋게도 이 숙소가 있어서, 선택하게 되었어요. 숙소에 대해선 사실 세탁기만 있으면 다 없어도OK 라는 생각이었는데, TV, 레인지, 세탁기, 에어컨까지 다 있어서 너무좋았어요. 불만이 전혀 없어서 숙소 내부에 대해 뭔가 가득가득 쓰고싶어도 떠오르는게 없네요. 호스트는 오사카사람 그 자체입니다. 활기차고, 웃음이 많은 밝은사람이며, 모두와 금방 친해지는 사람이에요. 숙소 관리자와 같이 밥먹는걸 경험해본적 없었는데, 함께 밥도먹고, 사소한 일상적인 대화도 하며, 덕분에 즐거운 시간이었어요. 무언가가 필요하거나 부족한 부분이 없는지 항상 확인해줍니다. 혹시 오시는분이 일본어나 영어를 못하더라도, 통역어플이 있으니까 어떻게든 도와줄거에요. "외국어는 다른나라의 말이니까 어쩔수없이 틀릴수밖에 없으니까, 틀리더라도 좌절하지않고 꾸준히 쓰며 익숙해지면된다" 라는 생각의 호스트라서, 정말 멋있다고 생각합니다. 예정때문에 지금은 잠시 나고야로 이동했지만, 당장이라도 돌아가고싶을정도로 여전히 생각나는 지역이고 정말 만족스러운 숙소였습니다. 지역의 사람들도 친절하며 웃음이 많아요. 함께있으면 미소짓게되는 분위기의 사람들이 사는 동네이고, 항상 조용한 분위기의 마을이지만, 주말이나 스포츠경기가 있는날은 활기넘치는 마을이 됩니다.
