I love Maine's working waterfront and even though my stay was in the off season there was a wonderful glimpse into our fishing economy and the hard work it takes to keep it happening. The quality of light in the unit was amazing, and viewing the moon across the water was stunning. Easy to access all that the midcoast has to offer within an easy ride, to Rockland and Damariscotta and Boothbay and Wiscasset -- my favorite spots. Beautiful places nearby to hike and explore. Onsite staff people Debbie and Blair were wonderful; when I had an issue with the internet -- it was fixed quickly. Unit was well equipped for a person who loves to cook. Also having a bathtub in a waterfront apartment was a plus since many don't have them. Clean, comfortable, safe-feeling -- all one could want in a Maine coastal vacation. Wish I could have stayed longer but instead I'll just plan to go back again.

Had an amazing weekend at The Lookout! Close to Mt Desert Island for a quick day trip, and beautiful private scenery at the property. Had a great dinner at The Brooklyn Inn, only a few minutes away from the Airbnb. Thanks!

This is a beautiful old Maine inn, a dying breed so we were thrilled to discover it. We stayed in a room overlooking the grounds toward the ocean, with a beautiful morning sunrise through the lace curtains. The floors are painted gray, the room was clean and nice appointed. It was very quiet here. Ideal. Butch and his team were helpful and personable. We enjoyed an excellent included breakfast. We will return when we can.

I saw an article posted that said coming here was like going to stay at Grandma’s house, and I couldn’t agree more! Christine was very friendly and had goodies baking when we came in. They were very nice; we had an issue and they were very understanding and kind about it. We would definitely stay here again. It was very close to Camden State Park and the view from Mount Barrie was beautiful!

We loved spending a few days at this rustic b&b! Soft towels, a good bed, and lots of charm. it was beautiful and the people who run it are very kind! Those with a nervous predisposition should know there are no locks, but that’s standard in this part of the world because it’s very safe. Breakfast included made it feel really easy and cozy, even though there were quite a few good breakfast options in the area. The views from the property are stunning: stargazing by the water at night was a real treat. If you are looking for rustic, unpretentious, and stunningly beautiful Maine, this is it.

Butch’s place was great. The inn had every bit of character we hoped it would. We had dine at the restaurant on site and we thought it was great. Butch’s pancakes in the morning were also wonderful! He gave us helpful recommendations on what to do with a rainy day and told us all kinds of stories from growing up in the area. This place is a gem and we will definitely return. Thanks for a great stay!

Shirley and Mac are fabulous hosts! I felt welcomed the second I was met at the door and feel like I left friends behind not just hosts. The house is lovely and it was wonderful to relax by the wood stove and spend time sharing stories. The bedroom is cozy, the bed super comfortable and the bathroom is immaculate (as is the entire house) The house is rural and so very peaceful yet just a quick drive to Belfast. I highly recommend a stay here.

We loved our stay here! First of all, Stonington is so charming. Secondly, everything about this bed and breakfast was exceptional. We stayed only one night on our way to isle au haut. But we felt welcome right off bat. Our check in was flexible. We slept comfortably. The room was small but it was perfect for resting our heads for the night. Bathroom was clean and well equipped. The next morning before we left - great coffee was laid out promptly at 630, which we got to enjoy along with a beautiful view of the harbor. Good conversation with others staying at the b&b – then came yogurt, granola, fresh baked bread and muffins, and an amazing omelet with all the freshest ingredients. If we are ever out this way this will be our first choice to stay. All of our thanks to our lovely hosts!!

Matt and Kerry were amazing hosts! They gave us tons of great recommendations and were friendly and fun to chat with. The B&B was so adorable and in an ideal location. We loved our room in this charming 1800’s home. We had direct access to the deck with stunning views of the harbor. Breakfast was delicious! The dining room area has large windows to enjoy the view. We were visiting the area to celebrate our wedding anniversary and this was the perfect stay for us.

Windward House and hosts, Matt and Dan, are the best! All the comforts of home and more! Centrally located within walking distance to town; clean and charming rooms (we love the Quarter Deck!); delicious made-to-order breakfasts each morning; the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in (ironed linens!) and welcoming hosts who provide great suggestions of what to do and where to go in the area. We love Windward House and look forward to many more visits in our future! Doug and Sally Goodman

Leslie was a wonderful, host. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at her beautiful house. The room felt private and comfortable upstairs with a lovely bathroom. Leslie makes home made blueberry muffins and has coffee waiting downstairs. She was engaging and thoughtful. I can’t recommend enough.

Dan and Matt were very welcoming and full of good suggestions for eateries and things to do. Our room was clean and comfortable, with really nice pressed cotton sheets and plush towels. Breakfasts were great. Two minute walk to downtown and Camden harbor. Nice hiking, biking and shops.

We had a wonderful time at The Victorian by the Sea. An absolutely gorgeous setting. Caroline is a gem. She made sure all our needs were met and greeted us with conversation and amazing breakfasts! Highly recommend!

The Victorian by the Sea is a very special place. The home is warm, well appointed and the host is gracious and most informative. The proximity to Camden is perfect and the surrounding towns in shops will keep you busy.

We throughly enjoyed staying at the inn with Kevin and Lucia! We loved that all of the decor matched the era the cottage was built and the bed was very comfy. The highlight was a great breakfast with other guests at the Timbercliffe Cottage and the recommendations from Lucia. We wished we would have stayed there multiple days instead of hopping around to stay at different places. Great hospitality and a wonderful Maine experience.
