This rustic romantic getaway is equipped with many amenities including a queen-sized memory foam mattress, kitchenette, full size bathroom with a shower and a wood burning stove to keep you cozy. The ranch is quiet and cozy and offers a retreat like no other. Soak in our luxurious hot tub, cool off in the cowboy pool, dark sky area for star gazing, hiking and explore the property in our Kawasaki Mule rental.

Designed to connect with the natural systems of a special place, Chertecho sits among the trees on a 5-acre rocky slope overlooking the Pedernales River Valley. An outdoor stair system connects the three levels - a covered rooftop deck; a second-floor master suite; and a ground floor kitchen space. Glass walls open to the wooded slopes of Big Hill, a ridge separating the Pedernales and Guadalupe watersheds halfway between Comfort and Fredericksburg. A place to unplug, and reconnect.

The Deer Haven Ranch Cottage 4 Beds

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis on a working ranch. Built in the late 1800's. Immigrant family homestead. The Indians use to meet under the large oak trees in the front yard. The cottage is about a 5 minute drive to town, so you have the advantage of being peacefully out in the country enjoy the dark night sky full of stars. There are 3 AC window units in the Cottage, the Living room, the Master and the Kitchen, the house easily cools to 70 degrees on a hot day.
