SOMNIO ESTATE manages ōrigín, one of Paros’ oldest and most storied buildings, a traditional windmill built in 1891, once used to grind wheat and bake bread for the island’s early inhabitants. Restored with simple elegance and respect for Cycladic tradition, this cozy windmill features a peaceful double bedroom, a bathroom with a bathtub for relaxing moments and a small living room. Outside, there is a private jacuzzi, a dining area, and breathtaking views over the famous Kolympithres Bay.

Our Venetian ancestor Michel Sanudo married into our family in the year 1615, giving the house its current form, with the  balcony doors overlooking a valley with ancient olive groves . The old furniture has been restored and every beautiful feature has been preserved. The thick stone walls make it cool in summer and warm off season . We are certified by Ecotourism Greece .
