We stayed for work, it was a very nice place, lots of room and had everything listed. Love that we felt right at home. The windmill in the yard was a bonus. We love the outdoors and had plenty of room to move about. Would highly recommend this location to others.

If you’re looking for an old fashioned ranch home, this is the place for a serious quiet place to stay. I will say there is no internet or phone service out there so this is for people who want a quiet place to relax away from the stressful thoughts that you have and just breathe. It is a dirt road so please make sure to have good tires for a little bit of rough terrain. This is the place to be. I loved the setup of the place and me being the mom that I am had my children upstairs with their own bathroom as well. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely want to come back again. The night sky is absolutely stunning especially if you’re those who enjoy the dark sky which unfortunately I didn’t really take good pictures of the night sky but took some video. This was an amazing adventure and I felt at ease and not too far from the McDonalds Observatory.

I had a lovely stay at the Starlight Suite during my first trip to West Texas. The rooms were very well supplied and the front porch view was amazing. I really appreciated the super comfy bed after hours of driving. The great Wi-Fi was most welcome. Supplies were easy to get at the local Lowe’s grocery. Don’t miss the amazing tours and stars at the McDonald Observatory. The next time I’m back in West Texas, I’ll definitely stop here again. There is more to see and do!

Glenda's tiny little house was perfect for what my husband and I needed for a long weekend. It was very well organized and stocked for such a small place. The decor is beautiful and very homey. Glenda was a very responsive host. We will stay there again. Highly recommended.

I booked this place for our friends traveling with their two year old, so this was a great space for them, while my husband and I stayed in Jennifer's other place, "The Treehouse" above this "Longhorn Casita" listing. This setup is perfect for those traveling with others but want some privacy. Everything was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed morning coffee and night stargazing on the patio with beautiful views. We were so lucky to have caught a Starlink satellite launch one of the nights. Wonderful memories were made. I'll be booking both listings again when I bring my parents next. It's a home away from home. Thanks for everything, Jennifer!

There’s an additional restroom with a shower that was a great bonus—especially appreciated by someone of my height at 6'6". It truly added to the comfort of our stay. The location was easy to find, and the RV itself was spacious and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely consider returning on a future visit.

Very nice place to stay in Fort Davis. Most comfortable beds I have slept in in an Air BB. Great mattress! Very quiet and peaceful with the sleeping lion mountain in front. We enjoyed the birds and their morning chatter. Walkable to the downtown area. Matthew was a lovely host. Quickly responded to my question and had clear instructions for the lockboxes. Also he was very concerned with making our stay wonderful. Be aware that there aren’t too many eating establishments in Fort Davis but we tried Lupita’s and were not disappointed! Also there’s a very nice, new Lowe’s grocery store in Fort Davis where you can get any groceries as well as supplies. We definitely enjoyed the area and Matthews place. Do not miss the McDonald Observatory! The stars at night are truly big and bright in Texas!

David's place was a lovely getaway, felt at home right away! Valentine is a cute little town with a great bar, a great base for some West Texas adventures.

We really enjoyed our stay! The RV was very clean and suited our needs. Our visit was just 2 nights so we didn't do much cooking, but the kitchen was very clean and had necessary items. There was a handy list of Fort Davis restaurants and businesses and good instructions for the AC and water system provided. We loved the deck and the stars at night were stunning. We didn't realize it was some sort of National Star Gazing week, so the McDonald Observatory Star Party was sold out, but we have attended before and seeing the stars just outside our door was just fine! The area was very quiet and peaceful. Very nice stay! We enjoyed our visit to the Ft. Davis National Historic site and the beauty of the surrounding mountains.

We had a quick one night stay on our cross country trip. Jame’s unique Airbnb was perfectly located off I-10. We are rock hounds so enjoyed the eclectic decor and rocks of this previous rock shop. The space was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed.
