Cancleave - Cornish Clifftop Luxury

Cancleave has been in our family since 1962. During the winter of 2020/21 it underwent a complete reconstruction to create a modern, energy-efficient and supremely comfortable retreat. Nestled on the coast road between Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay, the property occupies around half an acre of lawned garden bordering the South West Coast Path. From here you can enjoy breathtaking views across Bude Bay as far as Lundy Island, as well as inland vistas stretching all the way to Dartmoor.

The Shippon. Unique luxurious South Devon getaway.

A calm, deeply luxurious space to recharge & reconnect. The Shippon is a meticulously converted cow barn with heated, polished concrete floors, gently curving deep green walls, hand-built kitchen, warmly lit reading nooks, & natural materials. Woollen blankets, feather sofa, antique Scandinavian log burner, king-size bed with French linen & down, waterfall shower, & the softest towels. Our sleepy Devon hamlet is only lit by stars at night. Woolgarden is a lovingly restored C17th Cornish hideaway with lots of unique and original features set in a tranquil valley on the edge of Bodmin Moor. The cottage has its own garden with patio where you can enjoy great views over the rolling countryside and perfect sunsets. Night skies are amazing and have designated Dark Skies status. Dogs are welcome and with beautiful beaches only 20 minutes away and National Trust Roughtor within walking distance, this is the ideal holiday destination.

The decor is stylish, comfortable, a beautiful haven to sit and contemplate the breathtaking surroundings from. Described by a recent guest as "The most beautiful small space they'd ever stayed in" It can be difficult to do anything here other than unwind. But if you can drag yourself away from this little gem it's a great place to explore North Cornwall's diverse delights from.

All interiors are furnished to a very high level of quality and artistic design. It is set in 50 acres of North Cornish farmland.

The loft

Wake up to wide sea views across the coastline towards castle island. The Loft is a peaceful, retreat for two with its own private path leading directly down to the South West Coast Path and the beach below. Tucked away above the cliffs yet only a short walk from the village, it’s the perfect place for coastal walks, sunsets over the Atlantic and quiet mornings watching the sea. Many guests tell us the view alone makes them never want to leave.
