We absolutely loved our stay here! It was a perfect location to the ski hills yet a very quiet setting that we could relax after a day at the slopes. The house was a perfect size and layout for our group, decorated very nicely, and had great amenities; hot tub, sauna, comfortable choices, and a great sized kitchen stocked with all the essentials.

Beautiful getaway. A river runs by providing soothing sounds and picturesque sights. Can be seen from the wonderful hot tub out back and from the long covered deck. Some property to walk, but also close to many waterfall hikes, if you're wanting some outdoor adventure. During bad weather or you're feeling lazy, the couch is very comfy and the TV large. Hannah was extremely responsive and helpful (I got my car stuck, through my own fault, and she facilitated my escape). She provided recommendations of her own accord, and they all turned out to be accurate.

We rented both sides and it worked great for two families. Two kitchens and two living rooms when you have 4 kids makes everything easier. The hot tub was a big hit with the kids and the walking distance to the hill was a bonus. We would definitely rent this place again!

Plenty of space and a good location for ski in/ski out

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were perfect for what we needed and we really enjoyed being so close to the lake and the peacefulness of nature.

Hemlock Haven was an absolute gem to stay at. The place was very nice, with really nice furnishings and very well stocked. The drive in is just gorgeous and very private. We walked our dog off leash daily and never ran into anyone. Felt like we had the world to ourselves. Fishing was pretty good too. We caught walleye, perch, northern and a few small Muskie. Bob was so helpful and gave us lots of tips and places to try out. The out door deck in the back is so cool and where we spent lots of time cooking, eating, and listening to music. We never turned on the tv once! It is tight to go up to the master bedroom which is accessed by a spiral staircase. We stayed in the bunk room because we didn’t want to leave our senior dog downstairs alone in a strange place, so we had to bring our luggage upstairs as there really isn’t anywhere to put anything downstairs. It was impossible to get my luggage up but managed to move some stuff around and make it work. This was the only negative! 5 stars!

We had the most amazing time! We will most definitely be back. I couldn’t believe everything that was included. It truly felt like it was our house because everything was just so welcoming!! Incredible location - we LOVED it!

We loved staying here! Such a beautiful area and the host was so responsive and nice :) I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy house that tons can sleep in!

Beautiful cabin and peaceful location! Check-in was a breeze with a private keypad and entry. Comfortable living room with lots of seats and cozy fireplace. Large table and open usable kitchen and coffee nook. One larger bedroom and four twin beds upstairs. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future!

Enjoyed a peaceful lakeside vacation. Went ice fishing and caught a 24" walleye at night. Perfect weekend and a beautiful view of the lake.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cabin on the Trails. It is a lovely accommodation with beautiful surroundings and is staged to showcase the delightful pond and surrounding woodlands. The cabin is warm and well-furnished with comfortable chairs for lounging when relaxing. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped for easy stay-in meal preparation and clean up. The bathroom is well-appointed with a large step-in shower that has great water pressure. The beds are large and very comfortable. We had plenty of space for our belongings, of which we brought much, and our dogs were very happy and content. We felt very safe and secure in the area, and enjoyed tremendous privacy, but also did not feel isolated or too far removed from easy access to major roadways. Stores, gas stations, and restaurants all are within a 30-minutes of drive. We had a great stay and would book the cabin again on return trips to the area. Thank you, Angie!

Excellent cabin close to restaurants/bars but far enough and quiet to enjoy the moon and stars and in my case snow falling in a perfect wintery scene. If you own or rent snowmobile this is an ideal location as well. Cabin is perfectly laid out to maximize space and has everything you need. Cabin was clean with lots of details and Chad & Amber are excellent hosts, they were very responsive. The sofa is comfortable and can be pulled out for additional sleeping. TV in living room and one located in 2nd bedroom with twin bedrooms. There is an outdoor sauna did not utilize but there are lights and speakers pretty cool. It is a fabulous cabin I would definitely book again!

A girlfriend and I made a quick overnight to the UP and stayed at Cathy’s place. Cathy made sure right from the start to communicate clearly, especially with finding the cabin as there isn’t cell service in the area near the cabin. She was responsive to messages I sent to clarify the location and with a couple questions about the area. The cabin was clean and cozy and the photos are an accurate representation. It was chilly (30’s overnight and 50’s during the day) when we stayed but the heat kept things nice and warm. We weren’t sure how warm the bedroom would stay overnight since the heat unit was in the main living space so we left the door open and were plenty warm. It also looked like there was a space heater in the bedroom if we had needed it. Cathy had a good selection of DVDs to watch as well as some other books and such. I will likely stay here again if I’m in the area. Thanks Cathy!

Our stay at the Lily Pad Lodge was phenomenal. Beautiful property, great amenities, and Kristin was a fantastic host. We were in town for the Winman Enduro and this made a fantastic home base of operations and a peaceful retreat after a day of racing. Highly recommended.

This cabin was very sweet and nestled away on beautiful Nichols Lake. The setting is private and very quiet, though if the other cabins are rented know that there is one cabin directly next door. There are lots of opportunities for relaxing outside and enjoying the North Woods. The cabin is small, but had everything you'd need for a relaxing retreat into the woods! We loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

Was sooo accommodating for my special request. I only needed the space for myself and bridesmaids get ready for our wedding. Daniel was so gracious to allow myself and others in his space for the limited time that we needed! Traveled from Kansas City, Missouri for our big day, and it was perfect! Even more fun, after our wedding we ran into his property partner!

Enjoyed every minute of our stay at Maria's property! She was incredibly responsive to questions and accommodating. The place was a perfect winter landing spot for me, my husband, our 8 yo and our dog. The kitchen was well equipped for all the meals we made, there were comfortable beds, and we enjoyed the puzzles and games galore. Everything was clean and they'd thought of extra helpful touches like the gate for stairs (which we used to help contain our pup), sleds outside (which we used daily!), and a first aid kid for the unexpected injuries my child/husband always seem to get. We've stayed many places up north and this is one we most certainly would love to return to!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Little Fox Cabin. The cabin was very clean, organized, well supplied, warm, and comfortable. We loved the location on the lake for ice fishing and cross country skiing. The snowmobile trail was at the end of the driveway, which was also fun to ride! Located between Boulder Junction and Presque Isle the other way! We had a great stay! Thank you MaryBeth and John!

Cozy little cabin in the north woods. Comfortable beds. Nice enclosed patio. Located right on the lake. It has all the amenities you would need for a long weekend. We'll stocked kitchen with all the cookware you would need.

This place is cozy, convenient, and clean. We know this part of the northwoods well and the cottage on High Lake has everything you need and is a conveniently located in the heart of some of the best paddling, hiking, and skiing spots. The fireplace and the sunrises were the best, we will definitely be coming back.
