On Strawberry Creek in Idyllwild's historic district, the Owl Pine Guest Cabin was built in 1922. It's the best of both worlds w/ plenty of nature (burbling creek, rock paths, trees, birds, mountain air, stars) + close to civilization (the property is near restaurants/shops). Native rock fireplace, hot tub, eclectic art, record collection/player, games, books, TV, Wifi, BBQ, fire pit hang deck. We have a chicken coop, happy to leave eggs at the cabin upon request. Bathrooms were remodeled in 2023 and the kitchen in 2025!

Relax and enjoy nature at our beautiful, tranquil, lovingly remodeled A-frame cabin, now with a brand new master suite and sunroom! Within walking distance from the center of town, it's perfectly situated on a quiet street amongst the trees, buzzing with blue jays and hummingbirds. Curl up by the fireplace and enjoy surround-sound tunes, or have a spa-like soak after hitting the nearby trails. As a creative couple ourselves, we designed this space for romantic getaways and creative retreats.

The Owlz Downlow

“Artists’ Paradise!” This 500 sq ft one-bedroom storybook cabin (ideal for just two adults - no parties!) was built in 1930 by Idyllwild miners and is hidden on an acre of thick woods with private hiking trails where you will discover a large hovering UFO, 2 real crashed airplanes, among other artifacts. It is also home to the owner’s vintage Jeep and motorcycle collection. Every room is filled with original rock and roll themed art projects and the kitchen ceiling is a museum unto itself.

Treetop Hideout · On 2.5 Acres of Private Forest

Treetop Hideout is a classic alpine chalet perched high on the ridge overlooking Idyllwild village, surrounded by panoramic views of the San Jacinto mountains. This secluded, quiet little cabin is for all forest lovers, but would be most enjoyed by folks with an adventurous spirit (see Winter Access). You will be greeted with the stillness of the woods, sunrise + sunset views from two cantilevered balconies, all while wrapped in a cozy, luxurious interior.
