This was our first time visiting Grand Manan, and after our stay at Alex's place, it certainly won't be our last!! right from booking, Alex was very responsive, with local recommendations, to even calling to see about Kayaking for us. Our stay was during the off season in Grand Manan and the weather for 2 of the 3 days was less then ideal, but we still managed to get around and visit some local spots. This airbnb is located maybe 5/10 mins from the Ferry, making it very convenient, close to a convenient store as well as their local Independent grocery store. There are a few games provided as well as binoculars !( witch came in handy when we seen whales in the bay out back !! ), The hot tub was immaculate and was a great way to keep the serenity after a peaceful day of exploring. We will most definitely be back, especially once the hustle and bustle of touriat season comes around ! if your looking for a place to stay, we definitely recommend Alex's place ! Great host, great house, great location! This is a very private house that is not far from town, only 20 minutes from the ferry. The house is clean, well appointed and spacious. It’s right on the water which gives hours of enjoyable relaxing both day and night. Speaking of night, you haven’t seen a night sky like this, it’s really amazing! This home was the perfect temporary home base for me and my family as we explored southern Nova Scotia. The host is excellent at communicating clearly. My family of 4 was more than comfortable during our stay here. We’d definitely stay again! Thank you for a great stay!

Every step of the way - John was a a great communicator, making sure we had all the information we needed for our visit and the surrounding area. His cozy get away, is surrounded by beautiful nature, very private and yet only 10 minutes from the town of Annapolis Royal with all the amenities. The open fireplace, with lots of DRY wood and kindling was a bonus as the weather was stormy during our visit. John also checked in with us a few times to make sure we could get in and out of the driveway during the storm. 2 lovely balconies would be perfect in the summer for sitting out and looking into the trees - and which we were able to use this trip for barbequeing in the snow storm:) Very dog friendly as located off the main road and km of trails right out the door for walking off leash or snowshoeing. Would absolutely return at any time of year!

Our stay at Jane's place was fantastic! It was even bigger than the photos made it look. We felt right at home and were able to use the well-equipped kitchen and BBQ to make our meals. It was a great home base for day trips into Bear River and Digby. The beach outside was incredibly private and perfect for beach combing. We'd stay again in a heartbeat!

What a beautiful place to stay! Denise welcomed us, and took us on a tour of the house. Her house is equipped with everything you need, it was awesome. the home was clean and very comfortable. The nature cant be beat! The sky at night is of course incredible, as is the beach right across the road. Beautiful stones, a rockhound would have a ball. I cannot wait to go back!

This was my first girlfriend trip. We arrived at the house and the seven of us were Wowed! Everything you could need was there. Perfect kitchen for meals and the open concept was great for everyone being together. The beds were very comfortable. The whole house is spotless. The hot tub on the upper deck and the view from there is beautiful. Summerville beach was only a couple minutes away. Next trip will include our husbands. The house next door would be great if anyone would want a family reunion getaway.

We really enjoyed staying at Carly’s house. It was clean, comfortably furnished, light and airy, and you can see the ocean (unless it’s foggy). We would definitely come again!

Our group of six enjoyed the cottage and bunkie. There is a lot of room to spread out and pursue different activities. The deck on the lake is a highlight. There are plenty of board games and comfy seating inside if the weather isn't cooperating. It was warm and cozy when the temperature dropped in early November. We used the cottage as a base for exploring the area - Annapolis Royal, Kejimkujik Park, and Digby. The property is in a remote lakeside location in a small cottage community.
