Foxes Earth @ Wild Fox Hill

In 2022 we were fortunate to buy an additional 3.6 hectares to add to Wild Fox Hill. Included on the land is one of the older houses in Hogsback. Inspired by the outcomes from previous building projects we took up the challenge of transforming the space. Using our knowledge and experience of earthern building, and the availability of beautiful planks shaped from pine trees cut on the land, we have created a rustic, characterful, nature inspired, light filled, home space for our guests to enjoy.

The Chalet at Maple Grove, Hogsback

The Chalet has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with bath and one with shower. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven/hob and microwave. TV and Fireplace. French doors lead onto patio with private garden, barbecue and Gazebo. Sleeps 4. For those guests requiring more accommodation we have The Cottage at Maple Grove which sheeps 2 (can also accommodate two children on stackbeds), and The Cabin at Maple Grove which sleeps 2. Ideal for an extended family booking of up to 10 guests.

Eco Fox Den - Earthen home with mountain views

Experience the warm embrace of an earthen dwelling for a getaway in nature. Leaving the worries of the modern world, you will enjoy an off the grid experience with electricity, water and wifi at your fingertips. Relax on the spacious deck and watch the sunrise and sunset over the mountains. Spend the afternoon lazing on the daybed in the bay window and watch nature pass by. Enjoy a sundowner around the bonfire or on a winters evening, light the dover stove and enjoy a true cosy experience.

3 Peaks Hogsback - Jackal Buzzard

Escape to our cozy cottage in the heart of Hogsback, where comfort meets stunning natural beauty. The cottage offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms, perfect for a relaxing retreat with family or friends. An open-plan lounge and kitchen area, complete with a log fireplace that sets the mood for those crisp mountain evenings. Fully equipped kitchen, outside braai area and undercover deck, provide everything you need. Powered by solar energy and sustained by pure mountain stream and rainwater.

Hae Homestead

This cosy earth home is more than shelter it's a return to ancestral ways, built with mud, sticks, and heart. Nestled in the village of Msobomvu, it gazes out at intaba kaNtsikana, a sacred heritage mountain in the Eastern Cape . Every sunrise carries the spirit of Umsobomvu , every breeze whispers stories of the land. With its sleeping loft and living space crafted from earth and upcycled materials, it's a soulful retreat—off-grid, grounded, and deeply rooted in indigenous wisdom.

Woodside Garden Cottage

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place or enjoy a romantic getaway and get lost in our wonderful formal gardens. Woodside Gardens is offering this 6 sleeper cottage (2 queen and 1 double bed) with fully equipped self-catering facilities and full access to one of Hogsback's finest gardens. We are pet and child friendly with a safe premises. The experience is private and allows you, your family and friends to get some much needed peace amongst birdsong and lush trees.

Hogsview - 1 Bedroom Cottage with mountain views

Hogsview is surrounded by beautiful gardens, our own small piece of forest that includes towering Bluegums that line our driveway and the amazing views we have of the Hogsback Mountains. Our Mountain View Cottage offers the perfect setting for enjoying the picturesque views of the Hogsback Mountains and walks through our garden or just listen to all the birdlife. It is a short stroll from the natural beauty, numerous walking trails, and restaurants that Hogsback has to offer.

The Gate House

Your perfect eco-friendly escape awaits! This modern, solar-powered retreat features 1 en suite bedroom plus a second bedroom with an adjacent bathroom, an open-plan kitchen & living area, and a built-in indoor braai for cozy nights. Stacking doors open to a spacious garden and a large deck with views of the Hogs. Ideal for families, couples, or remote workers, it's the ultimate mix of adventure and serenity in Hogsback!

Nestled amongst many deodar cedar trees and an abundance of fruit trees, the vast gardens of Hidden Away boast a variety of plant species such as azaleas, hydrangeas, rhododendrons, clivias and many more. The winding walkways and paths through the forest garden are perfect for early morning meanders taking in that crisp, fresh air; the mountain has to offer.
