Gorgeous mountain retreat is a perfect way to describe this property. I found everything in the description of this property to be true. In my opinion Karla’s description was very humble and we found the property to be much better than expected. Entire family celebrated my father’s 90th birthday, and found the house plenty spacious for all of us. With full living space on the main level and downstairs we never felt crowded.The house was immaculate and very well stocked with items that were above and beyond any other property I’ve ever stayed in right down to the firewood. Directions were easy to follow and communication was always done in a timely fashion. If you want to relax, do nothing, enjoy the views this is the place for you. If you want to be active, go hiking, play golf, tennis, etc. this is the place for you. If you want to grill out and watch football with the gang, this place is for you. So if you have a large group, and you are looking for a mountain getaway, I recommend that you stop looking and book this property NOW!!

Belle Terre Chateau was only minutes from downtown Helen and was great for a large group; in our case, we had 7 adults and 3 children. We used this place as our base in Helen, fixing food in the kitchen or getting take out from the restaurants in Helen, which were expectedly overrun in the days between Christmas and New Year's Day. Bedrooms were as advertised; one connects oddly between the master and the front hallway. Four-person hot tub was great for morning coffee wake-up. A few other nits typical of AirBnB rentals during the holidays: - Cleaning was not complete before 3:00 PM. (Late cleaning was non-issue as we arrived after cleaning finished.) - Previous guests left garbage disposal jammed and indicated non-existent problem with Keurig coffee maker. (Kathryn arranged fix to disposal. We determined coffee maker was fine.) - The lock box on the door to the basement confused us. (We ignored it.) Would return if visiting Helen again.

This has been yet another amazing stay!! We have reserved this Air B&B for 3 years now and each time Nina has provided an incredible and hassle free experience. Full of amenities, a complete kitchen arrangement, a quiet driveway and amazing views, this Air B&B has countless things to compliment and I’m happy to say we will continue using it as long as we can <3 It has gone from a vacation home to an ACTUAL home, just far away from our regular one.

We had an absolutely amazing time staying here, from the home itself to the outdoors surrounding it was exactly the peaceful, serene environment we were needing. The house literally had everything that we could’ve possibly needed cookware wise and even cleaning wise because although we were on vacation in a neat freak and with 2 boys the messes are sure to follow. Our host was so kind and responsive and gave us so many wonderful recommendations for things to do with our sons. We did not want to leave 💕 thank you so much for having us.

We loved the cabin! It was just as described. It was clean and had everything we needed. I would definitely bring a different vehicle next time, had a little bit of a hard time maneuvering on the mountain roads to get up to the cabin. Steep downhill and inclines. Mary Jo and Lina’s place was perfect for our family! It had so many kid friendly accommodations and was well kept and just a short walk to shops and restaurants! We loved our stay!

My family loved the place & said it was one of the best they'd stayed in. It was too cold to use the pool, but the hot tub was great! There are neighbors but you'd never know it due to the woods surrounding the property. The bunkhouse/game room is ideal for a family with kids! Thank you for a great stay.

Always a 5-star place to stay. We have family in Franklin and always want this house and are very disappointed if it is already taken. Quiet, peaceful location. Easy to get to. It's always neat and clean, decorated so beautifully. Plenty of amenities. We've stayed in other houses (when we couldn't get this one) and the host only provided 1 dishwasher pod, 1 laundry pod, 1 trash bag, etc. - certainly not enough for a weekend. Cherisse is always available and helpful. A perfect host.

We loved being able to travel with our dogs. The backyard was beautiful we enjoyed sitting on the deck as well as letting the dogs run free in the woods in the back! She was very responsive and a great host.

My family and I loved this home at Lake Glenville! It had everything we needed. The views were incredible, and we really enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, riding the pedal boat, building campfires, and relaxing in the hot tub. We booked a boat tour with Lake Glenville Scenic Waterfall Cruises with Captain Mark. We saw a bald Eagle and the baby’s nest. We would gladly stay here again and hope to come in the fall sometime to see the foliage. I didn’t want to leave. Happ’s Place restaurant was great, and we enjoyed the shops in Cashiers and downtown Highlands, as well as hiking to a few waterfalls.

Had a really nice stay at this home for our annual trip with the dogs to the mountains. The pups were in love with the open land to run and play. It was truly a cozy space with a lot to offer. We enjoyed the various activities set up around the property. Waking up to the beautiful mountain view never gets old!

Truly, truly a spectacular stay. such a peaceful, and perfect spot. we made use of everything. from watching movies and the news on their HUGE TV's kayaking in the kayaks, sitting on the screened in porch, cooking up breakfast and dinner each day in the well stocked kitchen, cleaning up in their pristine bathrooms with WONDERFUL shower amenities, and going to bed in their unbelievably comfortable beds and bedrooms. we even played games of pool and air hockey. you can't ask for more from a house with 2 full kitchens, a rec room basement, water amenities, ample parking and incredibly flexible, hospital e and responsive hosts. we even asked about adjusting the thermostat when it was too warm in the evenings for us, bc of some random setting that didn't let it drop below 74--and they fixed in immediately. definitely stay at this incredibly thought out Airbnb for a wonderful respite. you won't regret it.

I could not have been more please with Carmela's place. Our girl's trip went great and the location was perfect for us. We felt comfortable at at home right away. There were so many thoughtful and practical touches around the property. We were close to everything while still feeling we had privacy and distance. So, glad we found this place and would love to stay again!

If you come to Helen this is the place to stay! Lynette was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The house was immaculate and just as the pictures show. We were in Helen celebrating my Mom’s 80th birthday and this was the perfect spot. Our weekend was fabulous and the Helen Waldhaus was fantastic. We all loved the many game options and attention to detail throughout the house. Would highly recommend!

This was a last minute rental, our original plan fell through. Tanea responded almost immediately to our request and even gave us the option of checking in a bit early. We were looking for somewhere quiet with a view to sit outside and enjoy … that’s just what we found. The mountain view from the porch was beautiful and the grounds were well kept with a lovely flower garden. The place was clean and well equipped with what we needed for cooking and resting. Bed was comfortable and, importantly, the bath was clean and neat.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with our family. Even with the rain we had a wonderful time. We loved the smaller cottage for us older folks. Some peace and quiet from the grands! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. We thoroughly enjoyed the large fireplace. So warm and cozy! The large Christmas tree and decorated mantle was a beautiful addition to the holiday spirit. Thank you again for sharing such a special place!

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb with our family of 10, ranging from a baby to grandparents. The house was meticulously maintained and spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. The layout was perfect, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out while still having great common areas for gathering. Every room was beautifully designed, so no one felt like they got the “lesser” room. The views were absolutely incredible, and we loved the added amenities—board games, foosball, a jacuzzi, and a grill. The host was fantastic—super responsive, helpful with local recommendations, and proactive in keeping us informed about a nearby fire. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this home for any group looking for a relaxing and well-equipped retreat!

We loved staying in this Airbnb! It was extremely clean & had everything you will need from pots and pans to basic seasonings. Beds are super comfortable and everything was what we expected plus more! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for the cozy right at home feeling! Hot tub was a huge plus.

We had a great time at Hikers Retreat! The cabin was lovely and we enjoyed the pool table. It was convenient to lots of things to do in Helen and Blairsville. It was a quiet relaxing place to stay with great views.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy lake-view home! The view was absolutely stunning. The house was well-equipped and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. It was peaceful and felt like the perfect getaway from the city. The hosts were responsive and provided clear instructions, which made check-in and check-out super easy. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches like board games and extra blankets. As far as the cleanliness we did notice a couple of issues, and it definitely didn’t take away from our overall experience. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature. We will be coming back next year!!

I have never stayed at a more well stocked rental. If you forgot anything, no worries, she probably has it in the house! Joan left some very thoughtful, personal touches like having the heated blanket turned on for me when I arrived, a bowl of treats, etc. My favorite part is a tie between the gorgeous claw foot soaking tub which I used every night, and the beautiful view of the mountains from a large picture window. The location was really beautiful, and had a grocery store and multiple gas stations within a few miles of the house. The only thing that kept it from being perfect, was the spotty wifi, which is understandable in the mountains, but all the lighting was hooked to Google, so Google either didn't understand, or the wifi kept failing for the commands. It just seemed it took 5x as long to turn on a lamp, than simply turning the switch. I ended up unhooking the one in the bedroom during my stay. I would highly recommend this rental, and Joan is an amazing host.

Very beautiful and peaceful home. Perfect for our mini surprise family reunion. The game room was a bonus and kept the kids occupied. The fire pit was also a great addition, who doesn't love s'mores! We absolutely loved it and will be coming back.
