I was in search of a peaceful relaxing experience and this was it. The solarium dining area is such a good zone for breakfast, journaling, friend chats. Love the cool decor, coffee-tea service and the gift of farm fresh eggs. The hot tub was elevated in the forest in an amazing way, we loved the views. We spent a lot of time soaking, and would say this was definitely a highlight of our stay. If you are not sure-footed, this may not be the place for you to descend to the hot tub. Fortunately it was not a problem for us. We did not need extra temp control for the first week of May. Pleasant and comfortable. Garden areas are lovely and well landscaped. A very friendly neighborhood. Overall, a great experience.

This is such a wonderful place! The home and the area are both stunning. Probably the best vacation we’ve ever had. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful cabin for a family of 3. We felt right at home. Beds were sooooooo comfortable!! We all slept like we hadn’t in a while:) Sufficiently provided for, and very peaceful. The kitchen had everything we needed and no clutter at all. The bath was very clean and nicely done. Overall we had a great weekend and we would come back again. The place and the surroundings are amazing, so do explore. The locals are very friendly and welcoming, always happy to give recommendations.

Awesome clean and cozy space. Jacuzzi in the woods and the wood burning stove really made it very special.

Even better than advertised! We loved this little place in the woods — it was so cozy and comfortable and close to town, the national seashore, and all of the incredible places around the area. We loved soaking in the hot tub after a long day of sightseeing, grabbing wine from the market right down the street, and relaxing in the wonderful space looking out at all the greenery. We’d absolutely return!

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by trees, this is the place. The house is beautifully maintained and extremely cozy. The kitchen is well stocked and the bedrooms are super comfortable. The hot tub under the trees was just the icing on the cake. Tom was super informative and very friendly- just a great experience from beginning to end! Will definitely stay here again!

Our stay at the Dogwood Cabin was absolutely amazing! It totally blew us away with its stunning aesthetics and the unbeatable tranquility it offered. The heaters were a lifesaver on those chilly nights, keeping us cozy and warm. Plus, the location couldn't have been better—a perfect hub for adventures! From wine tasting to kayaking, there was so much to explore in every direction (our longer journeys to other towns were around 1-2 hours). We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing experience!

The cabin is very quiet with great views. The wood stove is more than sufficient to keep the place warm just be sure to bring some kindling and some paper. There was also a nice list of suggested spots and a record player. Overal a lovely stay.

great stay in cozy cabin.. surrounded by trees, super quiet, and equipped with everything you could want. we went to harbin hot springs and hiking. tucked away in forest but coffee shop, restaurant, and grocery store are walkable. host is super responsive! RECOMMEND

Sue’s place was absolutely wonderful. From the peaceful and private location to the thoughtful and kind hosts, I’d highly recommend staying here. Sue was quick to respond to anything we needed and always did so with such warmth. When we arrived, there was a wagon waiting to help us carry our things from the parking spot to the cottage—a super helpful touch that made the short walk easy, even with suitcases, bags, and groceries. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful trees and set in a lovely, quiet neighborhood that’s perfect for walks any time of day. Inside, the Airbnb was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed—from cookware to a great selection of spices. You can tell a lot of care went into making it feel like a true home away from home. We genuinely loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Sue and Jess, for such a memorable and amazing experience!

Initially I booked a stay for my mom and I for her birthday but unfortunately, I got bronchitis the week before. I communicated this to my hosts but that my mom was still coming and that it was her birthday. They were incredibly sweet asking if she liked sweets or wine, ultimately gifting her a beautiful plant since she has a lot of food allergies. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful with a lovely welcome message and offer for fresh-baked chocolate cookies to bring home to me. They had very clear and detailed instructions about what to expect with directions, cell phone signal and GPS and then local places to visit. My mom visited a goat farm on her way in to the area but otherwise kept a very low profile the rest of the weekend. She FaceTimed me one evening showing me around the space and it appeared well stocked, spacious and nicely decorated. I am really looking forward to returning here with my mom and dog next year.

We loved staying at Noah and Joe's place! The place was beautiful and surrounded by nature. The cabin was very clean and it included all the services listed in the description. It is pet friendly and we were able to bring our cats with us. They loved it as well, chasing birds and playing in the trees. The place also has public pools that are very clean with clear water. Joe was very friendly and always willing to help. I highly recommend this place if you want to spend some time relaxing and in contact with nature.

We loved our stay at Victoria’s Novato cabin! We were in town for a wedding, and it was the perfect space for our group of 4 (though it could have easily/ comfortably fit and slept more). The home was quiet and peaceful, and beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked! We were all over Marin and Sonoma counties during our week-long stay, and nothing ever felt too far. Easy access to the 101, so easy access to get all over northern CA. Overall, this hike was a great space that fit all of our needs!

What a wonderful spot! Comfortable beds, clean kitchen and bathroom, lovely deck, easy river access and all the toys. I very much appreciated the EV charger!! Thora was helpful and responsive. Can’t wait to return!

This was my second time staying here and it was just as great as the first time! I'll definitely continue coming back as often as I can!

Perfect place to stay for a Redwood / Russian River escape. Would stay again!

We had a great time here! The place was lovely and had everything we needed for a quiet weekend. You do have to drive a bit to find a restaurant or store so I suggest packing snacks or food to cook :) The cafe down the road is a great stop with amazing views, but the little wine bar was closed the whole time, so maybe it is only open seasonally. If you head to Bodega Bay, I recommend The Boat House for fish and chips and clam chowder!

I can’t recommend this place enough - I already told all my friends. Leah is amazing and her place is just lovely. Very nicely and thoughtfully decorated, and just fun! She has cats, dogs, chickens, donkeys, tortoises. If you like animals, this place is for you. The kitchen was also fully stocked and she even gives you fresh eggs - they are so pretty and in many colors. When visiting, it’s a great plan to go to the state park by the lake.

Great location, nice spa and deck looking out to the river. Loved the "rustic" vibe. My husband and I were looking for a weekend getaway, and this was perfect!

Perjol is an extremely responsive, proactive, and responsible host. The place is cozy and charming and you can tell he loves and gives so much extra attention to the house and space. You feel like you are living in a tree house with all of the open and expansive windows. The place is very well stocked and has a lovely work station for remote workers. The place is a little smaller than what is reflected in the photos look like, but it is very cozy and lovely. For a quiet getaway into the trees, highly recommended!

We very much enjoyed Aggie's Airbnb. It was serene, surrounded by beautiful trees and ferns. She gave us excellent instructions for getting there. There was a very short power outage, but Aggie had already taken care of this, showing us where lanterns and a battery. We love Occidental and the free feeling of life.
