We're only minutes away from The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Harmon Den Wildlife Area, Max Patch point, Cataloochee Ski Area and The Blue Ridge Parkway where you can hike, bike, fish, raft, birdwatch, ski, and trek to your hearts content.

Off grid Eco Camp at Cold Mountain

Our off-grid Eco camp is located at the base of Cold Mountain, NC. We feature an exclusive starting point for the legendary summit hike with guide service only (due to terrain and dangerous nature of the trip). We have campsites for your tent, solar powered charging stations by request, water, and border North Carolinas largest wilderness area and national forest. It's a short drive to Black Balsam, graveyard fields, shining rock trails, cold mountain start points, looking glass, and more.

Enjoy a rural peaceful retreat with included continental breakfast. Just 20 minutes outside of Asheville and less than a mile from mountain biking and hiking abound sits this peaceful mountain cottage. The 10 acre property is surrounded by rolling pastures filled with horse, sheep and flower farms. Miles of protected ridgeline can be enjoyed right from the front porch. Modern amenities and cozy features make for a perfect home base to explore all that Western North Carolina has to offer.

From the perfect location in the Bethel community, set out to explore Waynesville, Canton, Brevard, Asheville, or the Pisgah National Forest! Enjoy coffee overlooking the East Fork of the Pigeon River, then head out to hike, bike, or explore local art, shops, breweries, and scenery. You may not want to leave the back deck or yard at all once you've settled in! Jump in the river or relax in a hammock by the water, say hi to the neighbors, or take a scenic run right from the house.

Our road is very bumpy and a 4wd or a truck required! I mean it! Spring is absolutely gorgeous here the flowers are blooming and the skies are clear. We offer privacy and comfort along with beautiful views in your private suite in the mountains, with lots of outdoor space. We're within easy driving distance to Sylva, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville, Cherokee and more. We're not fancy but clean and welcoming, with lots of amenities. EVERYONE WELCOME! The Red Leaf River Inn is a four room bed and breakfast located just minutes from downtown Waynesville, NC. The Chestnut House is a private cottage located adjacent to the main Inn. It is 1000sq feet and features a full kitchen, dining room, TV with Roku, WiFi, king sized bed, queen sized sofa sleeper, a luxury bathroom with jetted tub and stand up shower, and a private balcony and yard. Every stay includes an chef prepared breakfast at the Inn.
