The Milking Shed

The Milking Shed is a cosy cabin in the lush green hills and beautiful vistas of the Hawkesbury region north-west of Sydney. The cabin is built on the side of a hill and looks directly into a small forest of eucalypts - perfect for trying to spot one of our regular koala visitors. It is 200m past the main house on the property, and completely private. Curl up with a book, feed a donkey, pour a wine, cuddle a corgi, or sit on the deck take in the country. It is a million miles from care.

Just over an hour's drive from Sydney, twenty minutes from historic Windsor, 7km to Wilberforce Shops and next to water ski-ing central: Sackville. We are on the Farm Gate Trail and very close to The Cooks Shed and cafe, Tractor 828. 20 minutes from Dargle and the Colo River. Centennial Lodge Cottage is located at the foot of magnificent Blue Mountains escarpments in the Kanimbla Valley. It is surrounded by stunning farmland & abundant bird and wildlife. Just 15 minutes from Blackheath, (and only accessible from Blackheath) the cottage is totally self contained, with a wood stove and BBQ facilities. A unique rural escape for nature lovers.

Your hosts live on the top floor of the large two storey home with your self contained apartment with all facilities taking up the bottom floor. The alpacas are very friendly and love to be fed by hand.
