The cabin is warm and cozy, sunny, wood burner & heat pump. location is nestled between Grandview and Lake Hāwea station. We have no light pollution making for incredible stargazing.

There is nothing between you and the spectacular lake view apart from some deep breaths, a wine and some down time. This is the best view in Lake Hawea! The Cottage sits at the front of the property with a fenced off and completely separate Corner Peak Studio at the back of the property.

Only 9kms from Wanaka, Horseshoe River House is an idyllic peaceful rural property surrounded by the river and a large reserve with incredible views of mountain ranges, including Treble Cone ski field and Cardrona Valley. Direct views of Roy’s Peak, Black Peak and Mt Iron from the living room windows. Come and enjoy this unique experience like no other in the area. Enjoy feeding the eels. Welcome to Hawea Hunny Nook. Originally when Hawea dam was built in 1950s it was the explosive shed. Now fully renovated an insulated with rustic features. It has bed,dining,lounge with separate bathroom. Tea,coffee facilities an BBQ . Views under the apple tree out to hazelnut orchard. Close to Lake walks,bike tracks,fishing,supermarket, cafe,takeaway,garage. 15 mins to wanaka shops an eateries. Responsible dog owners welcome on approval. Owners house on site with 3 sociable terriers.

The cabin is situated on the corner of a 1 acre section surrounded by native plants and a small vegie bed for your use. Its located in Lake Hawea township and is a short drive or 12 min walk to the Lake. Wanaka township is a 15 min drive.

Close to bike tracks, the wave, Grandview and 8 minutes to Lake Hāwea. Situated walking distance to Hawea flat school and kindergarten which is great for visiting family to do pick ups and drop offs.
