Dara’s place was amazing! It was very comfortable, peaceful, beautifully surrounded with awesomely colored plants and fruit trees. There were a lot of amenities. The keurig coffee machine was a definite plus as you could enjoy your morning coffee inside looking out to the backyard or at the outdoor table and chairs at the front of the house. Her place was very clean and spacious for myself and my two friends. The living room couch and chair was very comfortable as well. Everything was well organized and not cluttered at all. Very easy to maintain. I’m grateful for the indoor washer and dryer as it allowed me to leave with clean clothes versus having a luggage full of dirty clothes. The ironing board and iron really came in handy as well to press the clothes I needed to wear for the event I was attending. I would highly recommended staying at Dara’s place again! 5 stars and then some for sure!

The Whale House was even better than advertised! The location was easy to find and so beautiful! We used this as our home away from home to explore Volcanoes National Park, Punalu’u Black sand beach, Volcano winery, and multiple waterfalls. Our family also enjoyed relaxing, reading, and napping on the lanai and in the hammock swings. The garden out back was a delight to explore. The lava cliffs were also very cool!! David & Chrystal provided everything we needed and more! The kitchen was well equipped- we made several meals. The cooler and beach equipment came in handy when we visited the black sand beach. The bikes were also a nice bonus. We really never wanted to leave and would love to come back soon!

Morris greeted us in the first day. He is very friendly and had everything and anything we could have asked for. At the last minute we didn’t bring our babies but he had the pack n plays set up and even supplied diapers and wipes and a separate trash can for the stinky diapers.

Beautiful home on the peaceful Hamakua Coast. Our family enjoyed a wonderful and quiet staycation - the pool was delightful and temp was just right with the cool ocean breeze. Kitchen was stocked with basic essentials making cooking easy. Very comfortable sleep spaces - cool breeze at night with windows open. Loved every minute! Suzy was very friendly and responsive. The grounds were so beautiful - lots of flowers and fruits surrounding us. I highly recommend this home as your next getaway. I will stay here again. Thank you Suzy and Peter!

Our family has stayed here twice in the last few years. The multiple levels with lots of space provide room for everyone. The three outside patios (two of them covered) are great for enjoying the views and serenity of the area. The hosts also provide lots of beach gear, including lounge chairs, water shoes, masks & snorkels, boogie boards, etc. The house is very well maintained and very clean.

We loved our stay at this well appointed vacation home. Private, secluded oasis within an easy 10minute drive of Hawaii Volcanos National Park. Volcano is a bit chillier than other parts of the island, so the gas heater was a welcome touch to warm us up each morning. Added bonuses: a pair of friendly cats greeted us every time we came and left the home and a resident family of pheasants roamed the yard throughout the day.

The house was super cleaned, smelled so good and super cute. It was cozy and she had beach supplies under the porch. I asked for a vacuum as our rental car needed a quick wipe out and she ran a shop vac down to us. The yard/neighborhood was secluded and private. The only sad part of the stay was that it was too short.

We enjoyed our peaceful time at Wendy’s place, listening to the coqui frogs and many birds. We loved seeing the saffron finch. After long days exploring the surrounding areas, it was relaxing to sit on the lanai. Avoiding rush hour traffic going in and out of Hilo area is worthwhile.

We enjoyed our very short stay. Halford’s place was clean and comfortable and located about 40 minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park which was our purpose for the visit. Halford was great in communicating with us. The only issue we had was that my gps service was not recognizing the road his house was on. Once we got that figured out everything was super. We would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay. The place is super clean and spacious. The town itself is quiet and near the water, and there are plenty of fun things to do just a short drive away. Robynne is a phenomenal hostess and was very helpful with recommendations. Her huskies are so sweet and well behaved and loved to say hi to us. I highly recommend staying here!!

The place may get hot during the day and it is hard to cool it down until the middle of the night. Also reading through the rules and fees for breaking them felt a little bit like a museum, but it didn't affect our stay. The stay was pleasant, check-in was easy. It was private and safe.

We cannot say enough positive things about Tulpe as a wonderfully kind, responsive host. The location is convenient & quiet/peaceful. Check in & out as well as all communication was incredibly smooth. Everything is as pictured, very clean, & has everything you’d need. Highly recommend a stay here. :)

Kristin’s apartment was actually in of three one room cottages with a bathroom. Clean, airy, had a small electric heater that was plenty powerful and a dual control electric blanket. Great tasting water and plenty of it. Dishes equipped for two. Not posh but not rustic. Nice country cabin.

Anthony’s (Tony) place was quite the revelation, a little paradise!. Located close to downtown, it was perfect for exploring Hilo by foot including local cafes, grocery shops, farmers market and the odd pub! Tony was a truly amazing host and quick to respond. The listing was exactly as pictured—clean, cozy, and full of Hawaiian charm, with beautiful artefacts, and some paintings he has actually done himself! The kitchen was fully equipped with all the appliances one would ever need and complimentary teas, water, coffee (and a coffee maker or filters – for the traditional coffee drinker to actually brew the coffee), which I diligently used. The property also has lots of books for the avid reader, puzzles and board games such as dominos, chess, cards to keep one busy. Wifi was fast, and a Bluetooth speaker is provided to listen to favourite music. I would 100% stay again! Mahalo dear Tony and consider accepting my invite for a safari in Kenya!

Rhonda and Jeff were fantastic hosts! Their place was modern, spotless, cozy, and so thoughtfully set up. The small AC unit was surprisingly powerful—as long as the room door stayed open and the ceiling fan was on low, it stayed perfectly cool. They thought of everything: beach gear (chairs, towels, snorkels), bug spray, even an umbrella by the door. The bed was super comfortable, hot water was reliable, and the assigned parking spot was large and convenient. My husband also appreciated the outdoor cloths for cleaning gear. It’s a bit of a drive from Hilo and Keaau, so a vehicle is needed, but otherwise, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay. We’d absolutely recommend this Airbnb and would happily come back. Rhonda and Jeff are such thoughtful and lovely hosts—thank you both for your warm hospitality!

AMAZING HOUSE !! Had 5 people stay with me and each of us felt comfortable and relaxed with the amount of space there was. Highly recommended anyone needing a place to stay with groups.

Awesome place and responsive host. Right on Carl Smith Beach Park, which is beautiful. Balcony is screened which cuts down on bugs, place and was super clean with thoughtful beach supplies that made our stay much more comfortable.

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

This condo was beautiful and spacious. She left soooo many amenities we were blown away. Like sunscreen if you needed it, woman products, creamer in the fridge, chips and macadamia nut treats. Truly a wonderful well stocked condo, not to mention the stunning view from the deck. We will stay here again for sure! Mahalo for having us

This unit is in a perfect location and proximity to everything in Hilo . Peacefully setting away from the busy Merrie Monarch activities. Clean , Hosts were responsive to everything we needed . We’d love to stay there next time we are visiting hilo .. And yes , the cat was very welcoming too !

Lovely and spacious for my 3 month stay for work. All the amenities that I needed for cooking and cleaning, communal laundry in bldg, good wifi coverage. Safe and walkable to downtown which I loved. Small amount of noise with neighbours and ants/insects which are expected to some degree being in an apt bldg, in the tropics. I would definitely stay there again:)

We had a great stay! Joe and Cindy were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout. The place was beautiful, well-stocked with everything we needed, and parking was super easy. Would definitely consider staying here again!

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb accommodations. This condo is the best. It it's perfect for one or two people it they aren't sharing beds. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. I have been here multiple times and I am very comfortable here. Restaurants, market, and beaches are close and easy to access. I love staying here. Thank you!
