La Berthusie is situated at the edge of Cussac a village in the Perigord/ limousine nature reserve. Peaceful and spacious it can easily host a family of 8 and more if needed. The house is surrounded by a vast garden, fruit trees, a chestnut orchard and a lovely pond. The village supermarket is a short walking distance from the house and so are the boulangerie, a cafe- restaurant/ pharmacie and the weekly market square. The area offres Soft hills, Lakes, historical sites, walking trails.

La maison est une ancienne bergerie surélevée de 2 niveaux jouissant d'un panorama exceptionnel sur la vallée de la Gartempe avec ses jardins en terrasse, son pont dit "romain", le quartier historique du Moustier et l'Eglise Saint Thyrse. This recently restored boathouse will give you a real switch off from the modern world feel, no tv or wifi to complicate things, just birdsong and views across the lake. Sleep up in the bedroom or on the extremely comfortable sofabed if climbing the stairs is not for you. Relax on the terrace, take a siesta in the hammock. Within 1hr of the Dordogne, numerous chateaux at 20 mins as well as some lovely local villages. Come and unwind.

De glazen façade geeft een fantastisch uitzicht over de vallei. Bakker er kruidenier in het dorp. Om te onthaasten is dit de plek!

Our 1 bedroom apartment has 2 double beds, sofabed with a small double bed mattress. You can divide the bedroom in half with a large curtain. There is a bathroom w/bathtub & sink &WC w/sink. Kitchen equipped w/cookware, plates, silverware, kettle, coffee maker, coffee, tea, salt, pepper, and cooking oil. Don't miss the garden! Walk around the large Moulin, stroll the green path,& discover an oasis of peace right next to the river with table, chairs, and hammocks!

The Bumbles Cabin on the Lake

Our beautiful cosy cabin has been recently built to enable our guests to enjoy our stunning lake and relaxing surroundings. It is totally private and the perfect place to relax. If you would like to fish, the lake is fully stocked with fantastic fish up to 35kg, fishing costs 12€ per 24hrs and equipment is available to hire for 12€ as well if required. A BBQ, firepit, and a pool (June-September) ensure that your stay will be idyllic in this picturesque setting.
