The cozy home, originally built in the 60s with a couple updates since, is nestled in the heart of the Island. Whether you're unwinding after a day of exploring or enjoying a cool breeze on the porch. This home has a lot of its original character, imperfect floors and doors. But it’s clean and ready for memories!

Come see paradise for yourself! This is arguably the most beautiful private waterfront property in all of the Crystal Coast. Watch the sun rise and set from our south facing island cottage. It is known to be the closest Harkers Island Home to Shackleford Banks, at less than 2 miles. Cape Lookout Lighthouse is in clear view! Fishing, hunting, shelling & other water adventures are all at your fingertips. The Dollar General Store is walking distance and Billy's Grocery is less than 1 mile.

The Yates Cottage

Welcome to the beauty and nature of Core Sound! The Yates Cottage is directly on the water and has spectacular views of Core Sound and Cape Lookout Lighthouse with large windows. Other amenities are a screen porch, fire pit, and a large yard for lawn games. The Yates cottage is great for couples, families, dogs (with a single $150 pet fee), joggers, walkers, bikers, fishers and boaters. You will be welcomed with freshly-made beds, towels and a full kitchen with Keurig and Rachel Ray cookware.
